I can understand your frustration since you are the one actually taking the photos but if you don't want people to use your photos stop sending them out to people. You took it upon yourself to send them to folks, unsolicited I might add, and then get mad when they don't link to you. You can ask them to link or credit you and it is the right thing to do but they aren't obligated to do so just as you aren't obligated to send out your work. You're trying to get more readers to your site by sending your photos to people and then want to call them wack when they don't credit you. I read a lot of blogs and mostly all of them have the same photos anyway and they have to get them from somewhere. You send your photos to someone, they post them, someone else sees them on that site and then they post them and so on and so on. Stop trying to solicit the popular blogs to link to you and keep your photos to yourself, especially if they are exclusives. If your site is a good one with exclusive photos, people will notice and will frequent your site regardless. Oh and spell check is your friend!

Wow, just as I suspected and of course I am not going to say I told you so but since X (Black Celebrity Kids) just confirmed what I suggested about knowing the origin of your images, it just reinforces what I previous suggested about taking proactive measures in safeguarding your work. Either the blog in question genuinely didn't know or X read my analogy and used it as a defense. In any event X understood the importance of giving credit where credit was due. In the infamous words of Rodney King, "can we all just get along?"

Quite frankly it is your responsibility to take proactive prevention measures to protect YOUR interest in your intellectual property you created and to rely on a blogger who has no professional relationship with you to put logos or watermarks on your images is more irresponsible of you then them. The fact that you didn't take the time to protect your own work why do you feel that someone will do a better job? Let me give you a simple example how you would not have a leg to stand on in a court of law. Say X snatched an image from your site and placed it on theirs. Y goes to X site and take the same picture and places it on their site not knowing about the disclaimer that was present on your site when X snatched image from your site. Is Y responsible for giving you credit if he didn't know about any previous disclaimers? Probably not so where is the copyright violation? Do you know how much it cost to bring a infringement suit to trial? You would probably lose a small claims suit if this happens to be the scenario so now I think about something my mother always told me growing up. " An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" You should take extreme measures to protect your own work and not leave it up to a third party you don't even know to do it. If you are really trying to brand your name then do like Thaddeus over at exclusiveaccess dot com or like Sandra Rose Dot com and protect your work. There are many watermarking programs available so you can batch process much of your work and make a lot more money. While we are on the subject of making money I want to touch on the fact how so many "guys with cameras" who call themselves event photographers are shooting themselves in the foot when they give their work away for free like you do Freddyo. Some people make a living shooting events and then try to sell their work to print publications but people like you make it very difficult when you give the whole store away thus ruining other peoples opportunity to sell their work. Handle your business and good luck in whatever you do.

Well, I use your pictures on my site and I always provide a link (mentioning your name and posting your link within my blog post as well as under the pictures) to your site. I have to come to your site on my own because although I signed up for your email updates several weeks ago, I have yet to receive one. I even took the liberty of adding your site to my blog roll.

I also feel your pain on having folks tamper with your watermark and impose their tag on your pictures. The same thing happened to me when I first started my blog. My second post were tagged scans of Tyra, Alek, Kimora and Iman in Ebony. Not even a day passed before MediaTakeOut took my photos and placed their tag over them. Now although I didn't personally snap the pics, I did take the time, energy and patience to scan the photos, tag them and upload them before posting them on my blog. That shit takes a whole lot of time and an abundance of patience...something I don't possess a lot of. LOL! So it pissed me off to the highest level of pisstivity to see folks coming to my site accusing me of jacking MTO photos when in reality it was the other way around.

I quickly realized that that wouldn't be the first time they would pull that stunt (they took my Persia White pictures as well as my celebrity kids endorsement ad scans). Thanks to Fresh (crunk & disorderly) I learned a new method of how to strategically place watermarks on my photos at a particular angle so that if anyone tried to manipulate them their (or should I say my) photos would look totally tampered with.

BTW, on the real (and no offense), reading your post damn near made me cross-eyed with all those typos! LMAO!
