Mouse Found In Hot Dog Bun

November 4th 2008

A North Carolina man came across an extra treat when he opened a bag of hot dog buns. According to Bruce Van Dyne “I was cooking dinner and I brought these out and I opened them up. That’s our little friend right there. And that clearly is a mouse.” The rodent’s parts he says, “…pretty easy to make out. I see the little ears. Clearly that’s a tail. I don’t know what that is, part of his leg or something, but that mouse is baked in there.”

The crazy thing is, Bruce isn’t looking for any monetary claims as a result of his rat suprise! HUH?!?Apparently, all the IBM executive is looking for is answers! So he called the Arnold bread, and they tell him not to contact the store he actually bought the bag from but to send his bag directly to their offices. HMMM something about that doesn’t sound right…

Van Dyne is concerned about other costumers:  “mice don’t travel in isolation. The travel with other mice and if one mouse got in, others could’ve. Other consumers should be concerned about this. How did it get there? Is it the only one?” The BJ’s wholesale pulled all the bread products made in the same Florida factory where the buns came from.

Now, the fact that this guy isn’t going after the company’s financial jugular for baking a rodent into his bread means 1 of two things. Either he’s got cake stacked to the ceilig already, or he’s got cake stacked a few feet from the ceiling. Cuz best believe if I found a cooked rat in my food there will be some smoke in the city!!!
