Shakir Stewart was found dead earlier this month at his Atlanta home. Police said Stewart, who was responsible for signing hip-hop stars like Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 34.

This is untrue. Jeff Straughn is not replacing shakir. Jeff has been promoted to SVP of STRATEGIC MARKETING is ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC GROUP. He’s not running Def Jam Recordings.
