Brandy Still Is Dogged About The Car Accident

Brandy continues to carry the weight of a major car accident she was involved in two years ago.  The singer tells “Access Hollywood” she feels unfairly blamed for the December 2006 crash on Los Angeles’ 405 freeway that took the life of another driver.  Brandy was unhurt in the accident and now says, quote, “I just feel like a lot of people jumped on it because it was something to talk about.”  While she was not charged with vehicular manslaughter due to insufficient evidence, Brandy still faces a 50-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim’s family.  She will head to trial in April of next year.  In recalling the incident that involved several vehicles, Brandy says she remembers parts flying everywhere and a lot of smoke.  She called it a “pretty bad” situation.  

 

With a court date looming, Brandy is still looking forward to the release of her new album.  “Human” is due in stores December 9th.  She calls it her most personal release to date.
