The other Day Lucky Night Club in Atlanta was poppin.  Here is Letoya Luckett out and about after just finishing her new movie “The Preacher Kid” and wanted to go the club. The movie is about a preacher’s daughter longing to experience more of life, 20-something Angie King strikes out on her own for the very first time and joins a traveling gospel show. In this modern-day rendition of the fable of The Prodigal Son, she soon discovers life on the road is tough but fears going home with nothing to show for herself, or worse, to a father who no longer loves her…

 High profile fashion designer Marc Jacobs has announced the cancellation of his insabely popular Jacobs holiday this season because of the state of the economy. According to his financial manager, Robert Duffy:

 Duffy issued the following message on Tuesday:

 

“Due to the financial climate, I had to make the decision to cancel the 2008 holiday party. It pains me as this has been a Marc Jacobs tradition for the past 18 years. Hopefully it will be reinstated next year.”

I’m sorry, HUH?! Marc, PLEASE don’t act like you’re inviting folks outside of your tax bracket to this event. WOW. I’m sure there’s mini holiday party being thrown somewhere else that the little people don’t know about!

And it keeps on coming! In other news, Jacobs has recently spoken out against the emergence of camel toe that’s been invading the fashion world as a result of the resurrection of high-waisted jeans. So appropriately he donned a camel toe costume as seen above!

 A Bahraini prince took the King of Pop to court Monday in a seven-million-dollar breach of contract lawsuit, demanding the repayment of several advances which the artist has argued were gifts.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, second son of the King of Bahrain, helped support the cash-strapped Jackson in the aftermath of his child molestation trial, the shiekh’s lawyer Bankim Thanki told London’s High Court. The two men had a “close personal relationship,” and discussed the possibility of Jackson moving to Bahrain after the 2005 trial. They even collaborated on a musical project — Jackson recorded a song written by Sheikh Abdulla which was planned as a charity single.

The AJC is reporting : D’Zhana Simmons says she felt like a “fake person” for 118 days when she had no heart beating in her chest.

“But I know that I really was here,” the 14-year-old said, “and I did live without a heart.”As she was being released Wednesday from a Miami hospital, the shy teen seemed in awe of what she’s endured. Since July, she’s had two heart transplants and survived with artificial heart pumps — but no heart — for four months between the transplants.

Last spring D’Zhana and her parents learned she had an enlarged heart that was too weak to sufficiently pump blood. They traveled from their home in Clinton, S.C. to Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami for a heart transplant.

But her new heart didn’t work properly and could have ruptured so surgeons removed it two days later.

And they did something unusual, especially for a young patient: They replaced the heart with a pair of artificial pumping devices that kept blood flowing through her body until she could have a second transplant.Doctors say she’ll be able to do most things that teens do, like attending school and going out with friends. She will be on lifelong medication to keep her body from rejecting the donated heart, and there’s a 50-50 chance she’ll need another transplant before she turns 30.
