Don’t expect Lil Wayne’s next album to sound like his last one. According to MTV.com, the rapper announced plans to release a CD titled “Rebirth” this spring. But the disc is being dubbed a rock album. The CD’s first single, “Prom Queen,” is due to hit the Internet tomorrow. Weezy has been seen rocking a guitar recently. He even made a guest appearance with Kid Rock at the Country Music Awards back in November. “Rebirth” is slated to hit stores April 7th. Last year, Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter Three” sold over one-million copies in its first week out.

Janet Jackson has postponed yet another series of shows on her Rock Witchu tour. BBC News reports the Grammy Award winning singer has cancelled five concerts scheduled in Japan for the month of February. Tour promoters are citing the global financial crisis as a reason for the cancellations. The concerts in Japan are expected to be rescheduled for later this year. The dates will be announced in March. These aren’t the first shows Jackson has had to cancel during this tour. Back in September, the pop star cancelled a series of gigs due to migraine-related vertigo. During that time, the “New York Post’s” Page Six claimed the entire Rock Witchu tour was in jeopardy because promoter Live Nation was losing a lot of money.

Tyler Perry isn’t backing down in the face of a lawsuit filed by several contractors. According to the “Atlanta Journal-Constitution,” the writer-director has vowed to fight what he calls a form of extortion. In the lawsuit, six companies claim that Perry failed to pay nearly 200-thousand dollars for work done on his 30-thousand-square-foot Georgia mansion. The contractors have also filed liens against Perry’s property and his recently-opened movie studio. But Perry, whose father was a contractor, says he didn’t pay for some of the work because it was shoddy. He also believes his celebrity plays a part in the lawsuit, adding, quote, “There’s a Tyler Perry tax that’s put on things.” Last October, Perry opened the first movie studio owned by an African-American. His writing and director credits include the Madea films, “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Meet the Browns,” along with the TV show “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.”

We all know it’s a recession so everyone’s getting their hustle game so together… Well my homeboy just hit me up about these FAKE booking agents that’s taking alot of people’s money… The companies are either Logantown Entertainment or Big Bloc Entertainment. It’s a family business…all in the family right! They seem legit, they send you signed contracts and everything, but wait, the artists never show up.  They even tell you that their going to refund your money back.  Nice scammers…  Rule number 1, if your not going through either the direct manager of the artist or a well known agency like William Morris, BE CAREFUL! 

They just needed to be put on blast!
