DMX Facing More Problems After Alleged Assault Of Jail Officer

DMX’s 90 days behind bars could become much more following an alleged altercation. Charges of aggravated assault were filed after the rapper allegedly threw a tray of food at the officer in the Maricopa County jail in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday. The guard says he confronted DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, after the rapper allegedly took the food without paying for it. Maricopa Country Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in a statement, quote, “This inmate has a serious anger management issue and shouldn’t be allowed out of jail or prison until he has it under control.” DMX has been jailed since pleading guilty in January to animal cruelty, theft and drug charges. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 18 months of probation.
