Michael Jackson Expected To Announce London Concert Dates
Michael Jackson may be crossing the pond for a series of concerts in London this summer. According to “People” magazine, the king of pop is expected to make a statement this Thursday and let fans in on the details of the musical showcase. If the gigs take place, Jackson is expected to play at London’s The O2 venue, formerly known as the Millennium Dome. He’ll follow Britney Spears who is bringing her “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” trek to the same venue for eight nights in June. The concert series will mark Jackson’s first live performance in Britain since he appeared briefly at the 2006 World Music Awards.
Another vintage pop star also performed a series of concerts at The O2 a few years ago. Back in 2007, Prince played 21 concerts at the newly renovated venue to support his album titled “3121.”
