Kevin Weekes You Will Be Missed

March 20th 2009

In Sad news my boy Kevin Weekes passed, he was the southeast regional manager for Warner Bros. He passed a day after his birthday of a heart attack. This man looked out for me when it came to celebrity interviews, out of town gigs and exclusive events. I was just with him during this past Super Bowl where he spit mad knowledge about what direction I should take my photography and my website. And by the way… He told me not to tell anyone he was at Super Bowl so if your reading this, YOU DIDN’T HEAR IT FROM ME!  Never the less he was a good man who not only looked out for me but for everyone he surrounded himself with. Mr. Weekes, You Will Truely Be Missed. My prayers are with your family…

  • Kevin was one of my best friends. I am heartbroken by his passing and there will never be anyone to take his place. He was one in a million. We can all do our best to be as genuine as Kevin was. My condolences to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him…because that’s what it was: a privilege. I love you with every ounce of me Kevin.

Kevin was truly a great man whom i was blessed to have known.A very honest and upright person Kev will be truly missed!

  • RIP Kevin

  • Ive known Kev for almost 30 years i lived around the corner from him in queens and was fortunate to live 10 min away from him in the Atl he was a very good person and a good friend. Any one interested in his wake and funeral info hit me at damonttoure@gmail.com.RIP Big guy

  • I am still deeply troubled by his transition. I met Kevin when he first moved to Atlanta and throughout his relocation he maintained his New York state of mind…that tickled me about him. Right now my radio is on and Seal is singing the cut Kevin sent me a few months ago “a change is gonna come” which made me smile that morning I recieved it because the gesture was totally out of the blue. And, I thought to myself, Kevin and I really are friends– it was so random and pure…. A small thing, but just to be thought of was very moving for me, so I called him and shared the warm feelings that he placed in my heart with just that little gesture. Also, I do want to thank Kevin’s people for emailing me and letting me know on Saturday night. So, if your reading this PLEASE drop me a line to let me know who you are so that I can personnally thank you for putting me in the loop @gratspiri@yahoo.com. I now live in Los Angeles and was planning on visiting him and a number of my other good friends in the ATL over Memorial Day Weekend. I last saw him last Memorial Day Weekend at the office. I am still pretty bent about his passing, but I’m going to dig out our last picture of us on that visit and put it up in my office. He will be remembered as long as I am blessed to have memory. To Kevin’s family…you lossed one of the good guys, but you were blessed and his spirit will live on.
