What Really Happened To The Movie “Mama I Want To Sing”
For the last 2 years I have been waiting to see Ciara on the big-screen. I was told the other day that this was about to happen … Finally, after several delays and re-shoots, ‘Mama, I Want To Sing!’ will make its world premiere at the top of next year.
I was told the reason that the film had taken so long to come out is partly because of paper work issues.. One of the stars changed management and had to work out legal issues before her image could be released… I was also told that the director didn’t like many of the scenes after reviewing them for editing, saying that alot of the scenes needed to be re-shot … I was also told that the film will be going to movie theaters, it was reported that the film might be going striaght to video, or aired on BET, which is so untrue ….
Presented by BET Networks, the highly-anticipated musical starring Ciara and Lynn Whitfield.
This film is based on the hit off-Broadway stage play by Vy Higginsen. It was loosely based on the career of her late sister, R&B vocalist Doris Troy, whose big hit was 1963’s ‘Just One Look.’ The musical ran for eight years at Harlem’s Heckscher Theater, making it the longest-running off-Broadway black theater musical in history.
Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright with Jeff Clanagan, Marvet Britto, Holly Davis Carter, and David Pomier serving as producers of the film, the cast also includes Patti LaBelle, Prophetess Juanita Bynum (in her film debut), Hill Harper, Ben Vereen, Billy Zane, Marvin Winans, Kevin Phillips, Kim Porter, Ross Francis, Shonda Farr, and Mariah Roberson.
In speaking to Black Voices, Randolph-Wright stated: “I am thrilled that the first screening of ‘Mama, I Want To Sing!’ will be at the Urbanworld Film Festival. The financial crisis placed the world on hold, especially independent films, but despite setbacks, we kept working on the film. What the audience will see is not yet the finished product, but it was extremely important to all of us to be involved in Urbanworld, because Urbanworld is OUR world!”

Please have someone proofread for you. “What really happen…” should be “What really happened…”.
You need a proofreader and a math teacher. Step up ypur game bro…seems like you have the no grammer knowing people at MTO or Bossip writing for you. Professional people need to use correct grammar.
