R.Kelly Can Barely Read Or Write
So everyone and they mama knows that I am the” Type O King” but yall love me anyway, well now R. Kelly had re-revealed that he has struggled for years with illiteracy, and that he would dictate the song lyrics to a person he would pay to write them down.
At the recent Midwest Music Festival in Chicago, Kelly brought up his challenges again while discussing the ups and downs of his career.
“When I was trying to make it out here, I already knew, and I was stubborn about it,” he said. “I don’t even read really and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me ‘you can’t even read right.
“How you think you’re going to come up?’ The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot. I went to high school and [my teacher] told me ‘you will be one of the greatest writers of all time.’ I believed. You [have to] believe it. You can’t believe [anything] if you’re hating. You can’t achieve [anything] if you’re hating.”

Thats really sad that he was able to move to the next grade and not know how to read or write. I think it’s interesting how he can be so descriptive and graphic in his lyrics but can’t read. Well…this is what happens when there’s a lack of emphasis on education and more focus on sports, money and entertainment. What’s really important tends to get pushed to the side, in pursiut of that almighty dollar.

Well, that explains a lot because during his interviews, it is evident that he doesn’t comprehend much of what is being conveyed to him let alone asked.
I know that I am not the only one who remembers the Q&A he had with Toure’. A primary example: Toure’ asked him about the underage women in which Mr. Kelly asked Toure’ to define that.

To Freddy, at least you are mature enough to owe up to your grammatical errs/diction discrepancies rather than act as if you are the government and blame your faux pas on non existent people to make humor out of it. It shows you have heart , personality and happen to be tenacious; reasons why so many people support your blog.

To Freddy O, I’m sure that you know that there’s not one single person on this earth that is perfect. I’m most positive that you also have skeletons in your closet too. So raise up off R-Kelly if you, yourself don’t like him fine. That man has to answerr to only one person, G-O-D, not you nor myself. You dig. A fan.
