Jay-Z Named “Hottest MC In The Game” By MTV…. P.S. This List Is Some Bull
Jay-Z has yet another title to add to his trophy case which I have to say he should get the to award cause he has put in work but the rest of them and their number placement is some bull. MTV has been counting down its list of the best rappers in the hip-hop game, and on Monday they named Jay-Z number one. MTV’s crew of hip-hop writers based their countdown on an artist’s current success, not their career achievements. They also factored in criteria like rhyme skill, sales, airplay and endorsements. Jay-Z has been at the top of the rap game for the past few months, thanks to his latest album, “The Blueprint Three.” The record dropped on September 8th, and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 476-thousand copies in its first week out. “The Blueprint Three” has also spawned the hit singles “D.O.A.,” “Run This Town,” and “Empire State of Mind.”
MTV’s Shaheem Reid discussed “Hov’s” greatness writing, quote, “Jay-Z continues to add luster to his legacy with time-transcending music, multiple successful business ventures and his dominant influence over the game.” Following Jay-Z on MTV’s list is New Orleans emcee Lil Wayne. Up and coming Canadian rap star Drake was named number three, while controversial rap star Kanye West checks in at number four. Miami emcee Rick Ross rounds out the list’s top five. Where the hell is Tip, and Luda why are they not either 2 ,3, and 4, that’s some bull… Not trying to hate on drake but why the hell did they put him so high on the list, what the hell has he really done….. Looks like this list and MTV is on some bull….

This list is straight bullshit. I don’t disagree with Jay at number 1, but where the hell is Eminem? And like yall said TI and Luda??? This list is just a bunch of people sitting around giving their opinions. If you put another group of people together, the list would be different. It’s all opinions.

They did a list of the hottest MC’s right now…. I’m sorry but T.I. is in jail…. his songs aren’t getting that much air play anymore…he may be in heavy rotation in certain cities…but its not consistent throughout North America and Ludacris has no current music of his own out right now….
Whether you like it or not, these top 10 artists are in heavy rotation….just listen to Hip Hop Nation on XM radio and who do you hear? Definitely a Jay, Drake, Weezy and Gucci track every hour….
Before you criticize remember this wasn’t a list of the greatest rappers ever….it’s the hottest MC’s of right now… and I think its correct… I may not listen to all the artist but it’s correct….

Drake…WTF??? Maybe because I’m not under 21 and I don’t have ovaries! Drake, no seriously …his lyrics and style are a poor mesh of Jay-Z’s word play and Kayne West’s style of flowing…Has he even gone platinum…or better yet can he go outside the U.S. and walk down the street without secruity…the answer is yes, no one knows who hell Drake is….awful but true!
