Method Man Discusses Arrest On Tax Charges

Hip-hop star Method Man is opening up about his recent arrest for tax evasion. The emcee turned himself in on Monday for allegedly failing to pay his taxes over the past four years, but tells Rapbasement.com that it’s all a misunderstanding. “Meth” states, quote, “I took the ghetto people route…I haven’t spoke to my CPA in like three, four years…So let’s get it clear, I didn’t get arrested for not paying, I got arrested for not filing. The taxes are paid, let’s be clear.” Method Man adds that his arrest has nothing to do with his marijuana use stating, quote, “I wish the media would stop saying it’s cuz I smoked it up or forgot to pay cuz I was smoking.” Method Man, whose real name is Clifford Smith, reportedly owes the government nearly 33-thousand-dollars. The rapper could spend up to four years behind bars if he’s found guilty of the charges.

Okay…u did not file that means u did not PAY! They made their own assesment how much you owed. That means you may owe more than that once u file.
