A few weeks back, rumors hit the internet saying that Stacey Dash had gotten fired from VH1′s Single Ladies. Well now, it’s definitely been confirmed seeing that Stacey’s released a statement to Global Grind stating,

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

The original quote from Dr. King states “If you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice. Say that I was a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness. And all of the other shallow things will not matter.” However, what actually went on the memorial is ” I was a drum major for justice, peace and righteousness”. Maya Angelou, who is one of the listed Council of Historians to select inscriptions for the statue, is not happy about this at all. She thinks that the inscription is misleading and wants it changed.
