Foundation F.O.C.U.S. was formed in 2009 by Polow Da Don (Zone 4, Inc. CEO) and Mia Welsh (General Manager of Zone 4, Inc.). Cancers 4 a Cause was birthed out of the need to educate the community about the growing epidemic of cancer. Statistics show that by 2011, 1 out of 3 individuals will be  diagnosed with some form of cancer. This year’s Cancers 4 a Cause benefit was entertaining from start to finish. Zone 4, Inc. and Foundation F.O.C.U.S. have teamed up with The American Cancer Society, music publishing giant BMI, and lifestyle publication Sister 2 Sister Magazine to orchestrate a dynamic evening where fashion and music collide.
Models, Bianca Golden and Bre Scullark, from the hugely popular America’s Next Top Model were featured during the events festivities. There was also musical performances throughout the course of the show. Universal Music Recording artist Mika Means, as well as legendary Destiny’s Child group member Michelle Williams,  graced the stage and I got to tell yall I have so much love for her; she showed me so much love. Lance Gross, Lloyd, Derek J, and many others took part in the festivities. Foundation F.O.C.U.S. award trailblazers in the fields of fashion, music, and community service. Those awardees included BMI Executive Catherine Brewton, Radio Personality Rashan Ali, Fashion Designers Tracy Reese and Laquan Smith.
