Three suspects are in police custody and one is dead after an attack on police during what was supposed to be a peaceful protest in downtown Dallas. Two shooters were snipers, who shot from “elevated positions” and another claimed that there were bombs planted downtown.
After the shooting, former U.S. Congressman, Joe Walsh tweeted: “This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you.”
He continues: “BLM should be categorized as a hate group … Obama says Cops are racist so 2 uneducated black thugs shoot 10 Dallas cops tonight, killing 4. Wake up silent majority. Stand w our Cops.”
President Obama responded by making a statement this morning on national news about last night’s tragedy, but when he attempted to explain the true intentions of the Black Lives Matter movement, he was quickly cut off by newscasters, which strengthened my belief that the media has been stirring the pot all along. And we are left watching it boil over. The world is in chaos.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Amber Rose, Beyonce, Pink, Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, Angela Simmons, Boris Kodjoe, Kevin Hart and Tyga are just a few of the many celebrities that have already spoken out against the continuing violence. It’s such a good thing to see people in positions of power or with platforms speaking on the issues that deeply affect and destroy our communities.
One thing is certain, violence is not the answer. We have already experienced too much pain and heartbreak this week. And two wrongs just don’t make a right. Our hearts go out to the families of all the victims America has lost to violence this week.
Praying for peace.
