Adele Takes The Top Spot From Lil Wayne On United World Album Charts

Lil Wayne dropped mouths when his album dropped and he sold 964K copies it’s first week of debut. However,  U. K. singer Adele’s album 21 has surpassed Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV. This trump takes place on the United World Album Charts with numbers for Adele stating that she has sold over 9.87 million copies in 33 weeks and Weezy selling only 1.29 million copies.

What makes the feat so amazing is the fact that Lil Wayne’s album has only been out for 2 weeks. Whereas, Adele’s album has been out for 33 weeks. With all of the hype surrounding the drop of the album, I’m surprised that Adele could take the number one spot from him. Nonetheless, Wayne has still sold more albums than most rappers do nowadays. Other artists are still in the top ranks on the chart including Jay-Z and Kanye West who are at spot number 7 for their Watch The Throne album while Beyonce is at spot number 10 with her album 4.

What do you think of Adele taking the number 1 spot from Lil Wayne on the United World Album charts?

Adele is just as diverse as Wayne is, and i believe that women buy more records than guys do, which sorda gives her the upper hand. And might I add, her voice is AMAZING and her album is DOPE. She recently dropped down to #2 on iTunes, but her album has been at the top of the charts for a while now… with good reason to be 🙂
