After Being Told He Will Never Run Again, Diddy Is Recovering From Knee Surgery

Diddy threw on some sunglasses in 2003 and set out to accomplish one of his loftiest goals at the time — running the New York City marathon. It took the mogul four hours, 14 minutes and 54 seconds to complete the grueling 26.2-mile marathon that spreads across the city’s five boroughs. What was also amazing is that Diddy did it all with just two months of training and a bum right knee.

Over a decade after that race, Diddy is now recovering today following his third knee surgery in a year. The Bad Boy updated fans on his condition with a series of Instagram posts Thursday night while revealing doctors initially told him he’d never run again. But look at God!

“Just had my final knee surgery. They said I’d never run again,” Puffy revealed. “I said the devil is a liar!!! [Three] surgeries in one year! Third times the charm!!! […] thank you to all the surgeons and docs and [pyhsical therapists.]

Diddy says his battle against tendonitis has brought him closer to God and his loved ones, adding in a lengthier post, “God puts us all thru things for reason. It’s up to us to learn through the things that he puts us through! Sometimes you have to go through the pain to get to the joy. This journey has brought me closer to God. Closer to my family. And most importantly closer to myself. As this has been God’s will.”

Wishing Diddy a speedy recovery even though I don’t care either way. It’s just the decent thing to say.
