The UK’s The Daily Mail is reporting the death of singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse at age 27. Winehouse, known for her public struggle with drugs and alcohol, was found in her London flat around 4:00 GMT.
The cause of her death is currently unknown.
She joins the likes of Janis Joplin, Curt Cobain and Jimmy Hendrix all dead at the age of 27.
Winehouse was last seen at the performance of her goddaughter and protégé, Dionne Bromfeld, at the Itunes Festival earlier this week. Winehouse had recently cancelled her European Tour following an incoherent performance in Belgrade, Serbia.
