In what BET calls “THE GREATEST Awards CELEBRATION OF BLACK MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT AND CULTURE EVER“, the 2013 BET Awards Nominees where recently announced.
This year it’s more than an awards show; it’s a celebration of music, entertainment, and Black Culture.

BET will be giving us the must-see performances, genius talks, interactive exhibits, and free giveaways. They got superstars in concert at the world-famous STAPLES Center–and the party doesn’t stop until it’s time for the after party! BET website says

Just so yall know Drake is topping the list of nominees heading into this year’s BET Awards. The Canadian rapper has 12 nominations, three of them in the category for Video of the Year. Drake’s hit “Started from the Bottom” is up against his collaborations with 2 Chainz on “No Lie” and A$AP Rocky on “Problems.”
Other artists vying for the top prize include Justin Timberlake for “Suit & Tie,” Kanye West for “Mercy,” Miguel for “Adorn” and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for “Thrift Shop.”
Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz follow Drake in total nominations with eight nods each.
Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher and Nicki Minaj are also among the nominees as is Chris Brown who is also set to take the stage as a performer along with R. Kelly.The 2013 BET Awards will be presented June 30th. Chris Tucker will host the ceremony at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live.
