BET Honors 2015: Kanye West, Usher, Phylicia Rashad to be Recognized!

Wayne Brady recently visited “The View” and officially announced the honorees for the BET Honors 2015!

The honorees for the upcoming BET Honors next year were officially announced by the show’s host, Wayne Brady, on a recent episode of “The View:”

Visionary Award – Kanye West
Musical Arts Award – Usher
Theatrical Arts Award – Phylicia Rashad
Technology and Business Award – John W. Thompson
Education Award – Dr. Johnetta B. Cole

It should be noted that West will be honored for his contributions to not only music but to fashion design and filmmaking as well, Usher for his 20 years in the music game, Rashad for her consistency and legacy as a live theatrical actress (not to mention her television and film work as well), Cole for her work in Women’s Studies and as a former influential president of Atlanta’s Spelman College, and Thompson for his work as the CEO of Microsoft Virtual Instruments.

The show will be taped at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre on January 24th and will premiere on BET February 23 at 9 PM ET.
