Beyonce‘s 2013 is getting off to an epic start. Not only will she be headlining the halftime act at next month’s Super Bowl, she’ll now also be in the presence of the President of the United States as he begins his second term in office. Beyoncé, who performed Etta James‘ classic “At Last” at President Obama‘s Inaugural Ball in 2009, has been tapped to sing the National Anthem at his second inauguration ceremony at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol on January 21st.
The event is taking place one day after the President officially takes the Oath of Office in a private ceremony at the White House. Beyoncé and her husband, hip-hop star Jay-Z, are friends of the Obama family and even hosted a top-dollar fundraiser for his re-election campaign last fall.
GQ finally released photos from the 2013 February issue featuring Beyonce!
