Beyonce Leads The Way With Ten Grammy Nominations

Pop superstar Beyonce is primed to have a big night at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. The nominations for next year’s ceremony were announced on Wednesday night, and the “Single Ladies” singer leads all artists with ten nominations. Beyonce’s hit album “I Am…Sasha Fierce” is up for Album of the Year, while her single “Halo” will look to win Record of the Year. Beyonce’s catchy, club-banger “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) is up for the Grammy for Song of the Year.

Fellow hip-hop and R&B acts Maxwell, the Black Eyed Peas and Kanye West will also look to add a few Grammy awards to their trophy case as they each picked up six nominations. The Black Eyed Peas are up for Album of the Year for their hit record “The E.N.D.,” while Maxwell’s track “Pretty Wings” is nominated for Song of the Year. With his work on songs like “Knock You Down” and “Run This Town,” Kanye West is up for Grammys like Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
The nominees for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards were announced during a special live concert Wednesday night on CBS. Hosted by LL Cool J, “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!” featured performances from acts like the Black Eyed Peas, Nick Jonas and Maxwell. The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place January 31st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS.
