PHOTOS : Beyonce Responds To Criticism From Harry Belafonte

Beyoncé is providing proof of her charitable works in response to recent accusations by entertainment legend Harry Belafonte.
In an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter,” the 85-year-old singer and activist said Beyoncé and rap mogul husband Jay-Z had “turned their back on social responsibility.”

Belafonte has been recognized as an important celebrity activist for decades and remains outspoken about his political and social views.

Beyoncé responded to the dig through her rep on Monday. In an e-mail sent to the Wall Street Journal.com, the singer’s rep lists the “unselfish work” Beyoncé is involved in. The list included co-founding a community outreach facility in Houston; donating 100-thousand-dollars to the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund; and many other examples of the pop star’s monetary donations to charity.

Beyoncé has been also campaigning for World Humanitarian Day on August 19th.

Last Friday, she filmed a music video for her song “I Was Here” at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

The video will be released in conjunction with World Humanitarian Day, which encourages everyone to go out and do good deeds. Queen B shared a few shots of herself hanging out with Solange and crew in Texas, riding bicycles, snacking and such. One of those includes a photograph of Jay-Z pushing her on a swing, and then the first shot she’s shared of daughter Blue Ivy Carter since her birth. Check out the photos below…

When is Beyonce and Jay-z going to show the public this “alleged” baby’s face. Every photo I’ve ever seen of this “baby” is from behind and the arms are always in the exact same position. Every proud mother that I know wants the world to see her beautiful baby’s face. What’s up with that? Those “devils” they work for won’t allow the world to see this perfect “child” that they’ll probably offer up as a blood sacrafice.

IN MY OPINION THAT IS NOT ENOUGH CHARITY FOR THE TIME SHE HAS HAD CELEB STATUS !! FROM WHAT I SEE ON THE LIST THESE ARE CHARITIES IN HER HOMETOWN…WITH ALL THE INFLUENCE THAT THEIR NAME CARRIES THEY COULD AT LEAST USE IT TO GET PEOPLE MORE INVOLVED IN INNER CITIES ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE! NOT TO MENTION THE MAIN LOW INCOME AREAS IN AMERICA…IT IS SAD THAT SHE FEELS 100,000 COULD REALLY GIVE HER BRAGGING RIGHTS WHEN CELEBS WITH HALF THEIR STATUS GIVES MILLIONS AND ARE VERY MODEST ABOUT IT. SOMETIMES I FEEL BLOGGERS GO IN A LIL TO HARD ON JAY AND BEYONCE’S CHARACTER BUT LATELY THEY DO SEEM A BIT NARCISSISTIC!
