Savannah, GA native songwriter and singer who goes by the name, Kelvin Frazier, Ph.D is definitely not your typical artist in the music business. After graduating from Savannah State University with a double major in Music and Science it’s not surprising that Kelvin went on to M.I.T (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and graduated earning his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. What is surprising is the incredible way Frazier is able to balance his music career and release an amazing EP titled “Conquer All” which peaked at the 25th position on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs Chart received FM Broadcast and Satellite Radio airplay across 29 stations nationally.
This is a very passionate song and from the video you would think it’s about a breakup but according to Frazier he explained the following about how the video came about
The lyrics expressed when I was at the hospital with my grandmother and when she hugged me I felt like that would be the last time I would embrace her. The next day she went on life support and she pretty much stayed on it until she passed away. I wrote the song carrying all the emotions of that moment. So when we were ready to shoot the video as they were going over the treatment they were not going to depict my grandmother the way I remembered her so I was like let’s just go with treatment idea number 2.
