Over the weekend I had the opportunity to attend one of the largest  HBCU band competitions in the country.  Me being a Clark Atlanta University graduate and also a former band member it warmed my heart to hear all of the great sounds. The event was hosted by my homey, atlanta’s top radio personality mr. ryan cameron.
This year eight bands participated; the “Marching Rams Show Band” of Albany State University, the “Mighty Marching Panthers” of Clark Atlanta University, Tennessee State University’s “Aristocrat of Bands,” the “Trojan Explosion Marching Band” of Virginia State University, the “Red Sea of Sound” of Winston-Salem State University, the “Marching 101” of South Carolina State University, the “Marching Wildcats” of Bethune Cookman University and Jackson State University’s “Sonic Boom of the South.”
Nearly 60,000 fans packed the Georgia Dome. It was quite interesting to see the fans at full throttle during Bow Wow’s performance, some even fought over his torn off clothing, one even tried to grab his manly parts. Those were some freaks…and they try to say Bow Wow ain’t poppin…yeah right! Can’t wait till yall see the video. Here’s all the pics.
