The longsuffering wife of comedian Bill Cosby has released a statement supporting her husband.

Check it out below.

Camille Cosby finally released a statement sharing her thoughts about the sexual assault allegations against her husband Bill Cosby. Camille writes,

“I met my husband, Bill Cosby, in 1963, and we were marred in 1964. The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work,” she said. “He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew. There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired.

“We all followed the story of the article in the ‘Rolling Stone’ concerning allegations of rape at the University of Virginia,” Camille Cosby continued. “The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proven untrue. Many in the media were quick to link that to stories about my husband — until that story unwound.”

None of us will ever want to be in the postiion of attacking a victim. But the questions should be asked — who is the victim?

The 77-year-old comedian had stayed silent in light of the more than two dozen women who have come forward to accuse him of having drugged and raped them until an interview with the New York Post Sunday. Bill Cosby has recently addressed how his wife, Camille Cosby, has weathered the allegations and ongoing public scrutiny.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

Cosby declined to address the rape and sexual assault allegations, though. According to the report, he’s been advised not to discuss the ongoing cases with the media.
