January, 10, 2018 – Last night, WE tv hosted a star-studded Atlanta season two premiere of its original series, “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.” Hundreds convened at Woodruff Arts Center to preview the much-buzzed-about ATL edition of the hit franchise, which stars Bow Wow, Shaniah Mauldin (daughter of Jermaine Dupri), Reginae Carter (daughter of Lil Wayne and Toya Wright), Zonnique Pullins (daughter of T.I. & Tiny), Brandon Barnes (son of Debra Antney and brother to Waka Flocka) and Ayana Fite (daughter of DJ Hurricane).
ATLANTA – On New Year’s Eve, Atlanta’s own Xscape brought The Great Xscape Tour, featuring special guests Monica and Tamar Braxton, to a sellout crowd at Philips Arena. The famed R&B quartet consisting of Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and sisters Tamika and LaTocha Scott reunited for a 22-city tour. Opening acts June’s Diary and Zonnique graced the stage earlier in the evening. To close out the night and ring in 2018, Xscape performed some of their most iconic hits, including Understanding, Just Kickin’ It and Who Can I Run To.

The week-long series of events will benefit young people, seniors, and their families from all over the Atlanta area. The week before Christmas over 70 1st and 2nd grade girls received their favorite Bratz Doll, from Keke and HOT 107.9 Radio Personality, Dominque Danielle at the Barack H. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology. The Doll Drive is held every holiday season, the charity event is in memory of “Saving Our Daughters” founders Debbie and Curtis Benjamin’s daughter who passed away from a cancerous brain tumor. Bratz Dolls was her favorite toy and Keke Palmer was her favorite celebrity.
All the girls enjoyed dancing and positive affirmations as well as receiving positive children books before their Christmas Holiday.
The Annual Bratz Doll giveaway was also supported by FOX’s EMPIRE Director and Producer Sanaa Hamri, the cast of FOX’s EMPIRE and longtime board trustee, Roger Bobb of Bobbcat Films.
