Aretha Franklin Celebrates her 69th Birthday
After battling back from health problems, the Queen of Soul celebrated her 69th birthday in a big way in New York City on Friday among friends and supporters.
Among those in attendance at the party, held at the Central Park Hotel, were Tony Bennett, Smokey Robinson, Clive Davis, actress and singer Bette Midler as well as OWN’s Gayle King, according to the Associated Press. Her publicist, Tracey Jordan, said Franklin planned to go to the theater earlier in the evening to catch “Driving Miss Daisy” on Broadway.
The music legend underwent surgery late last year in her native Detroit for an undisclosed ailment. Since then, she’s lost more than 80 pounds. Franklin has said the weight loss was because of a change in diet and exercise.
“It’s a fabulous moment,” said Ms. Franklin, touting a slimmer frame.
Aretha is due to return to the stage in May, and also has a new album on the way.

Diggy Performs At B.B. Kings For Freshmen Live!
Yesterday, XXL Magazine hosted its annual “Freshmen Live” concert featuring many of the rappers who appeared on the cover of their April issue like Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Diggy Simmons, Meek Mill, Fred the Godson, Lil Twist and YG. To show love and support Diggy’s father legendary Rev Run and Brother Russy aka Russell Simmons Jr came out to watch Diggy tear up the stage. It wouldn’t have been a complete performance if Rev didn’t grace the stage. He came out and performed a duet song with his son. That was definitely a moment they will live to tell the kids about. LOL

Swizz Beatz ,Eve & Lil Diddy On “Coolin” Video Set
Swizz Beatz is adding some young flava to the music scene. We caught P. Diddy’s son Christian on the set of Swizz’s new song entitled “Coolin”. We are unsure as to what the concept of the video is but from the looks of the pictures they had an amazing time. Eve looked amazing as usual and it looks like Swizz video is targeted towards the young kids. In the background of one of the pictures he is hanging put with a frat pack of cool kids to go with the theme of the song.
If you haven’t heard by now, lil diddy is following in his father’s footsteps. Yes, Christian is getting ready to take the young world by storm. Getting involved in music and film, and maybe eventually take over the family’s tycoon business one day.

Jennifer Hudson Had An “Amazing” Time Working With Alicia Keys
Jennifer Hudson is back in stores this week with her new album “I Remember Me.” The Oscar winner worked with several big names on the record, including fellow R&B star Alicia Keys. Hudson says working with Keys was the best time she’s ever had in a recording studio, telling MTV News that it was a great “learning experience.” Hudson adds, quote, “She’s just amazing to work with. We had such a good time together…It was an amazing, fun experience.”
T.I.’s Son Domani & Tiny’s Daughter Zonnique Celebrate Their Kids Birthday Party
Over the weekend Hip Hop’s Royalty Tiny and T.I. celebrated the Birthdays of both of their children. Although our homie T.I. is currently away on vacation until November, he sends his love and “financial” support. LOL! Tiny’s daughter Zonnique turned 15 and T.I.’s son Domani, excitedly leaped into double digits turning 10. Even though the two kids have a gap in age Tiny made sure that the two would have very distinctive celebrations that suited their characters. On a side note, watch out for TIP and Tiny’s lil boy King, he is a mess and a fast skater..LOL
Domani requested that his birthday be at the infamous SkateTowne Skating rink in College park, ATL. Domani got the chance to invite all of his friends down to help him get down and go wild. The highlight of the birthday celebration was when Domani’s mother, Lashon presented her son and the kids with a magician. Everyone knows that magic tricks are Domani’s favorite thing in the world, so you can imagine his face lighting up in aw at the majestic tricks.
Zonnique’s Birthday celebration was a little more milder this. Last year T.I.P. and Tiny went all out Hollywood Style. She just wanted to have a personal dinner party at P. Diddy’s infamous restaurant Justin’s. She had only the baddest of the baddest chicks at her exclusive dinner. I must say, time is flying by, I can’t believe my lil homegirl Zonnique is almost grown. I got a chance to chop it up with her and she revealed to me that she is laying low this year with her the birthday celebration this year, because her Mother Tiny and loving Step Father T.I. are planning a “Stunner Sweet 16″ birthday extravaganza next year.
So I guess i’ll be waiting for my invite to Zonnique’s sweet 16 & when it premieres on VH1′s hit show “Sweet 16″ Stunner Edition (LOL). She also revealed that the “OMG Girls” new member has fully adjustedand they are coming back in full throttle. Look out for the future pop divas!
The Mother of T.I.’s Oldest sons, Lashon has a lot of exciting things she is going to reveal in the upcoming, I can’t speak on it as of now but just be ready for when she takes the world by storm.

Chad & Evelyn Are Taking The Engagement Slow
Beautiful Model Evelyn Lozada recently sat daown with People Magazine to update us on the nuptials of her and her fiance Chad “OchoCinco”. Come to our surprise doesn’t look like a summer wedding is in store for us. Well it’s nice to know things are being planned very slow since they jumped into the engagement after four months of dating. LOL
Evelyns Interview with People:
“He has four kids. I have one. We want to be engaged for at least a year and enjoy our time with our children, and then we’re going to plan our wedding,†Lozada told PEOPLE at Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Males of 2011 party in New York, where Ochocinco was honored.
And when they do start planning, they’ll have to compromise on some things. “I want something small, even though he wants something big,†Lozada says. “I want something intimate. I’m 35, and we have five kids together. I don’t want anything over the top.â€
The pair are in better agreement on the topic of kids – they both want more. In fact, Lozada says they would love to have twins. “The more kids, the happier I am,†she says.
Ochocinco, 33 – the Cincinnati Bengals player and former contestant on Dancing with the Stars – says his relationship with Lozada works so well because they don’t hide anything from each other.
“I know everything about her, so there are no surprises,†he says. “My grandma says, ‘Always marry your best friend, because your best friend will be able to tell you anything and not hide nothing.’ That’s one of the things I really like, which is one of the reasons why she’s wearing that ring.â€
And they really do share everything – including the specifics of their former love affairs. “Sometimes we sit back at night and we literally sit for three to four hours and share stories about who we’ve dated and what we’ve done … every detail,†says Lozada.

Fresh off the press! Fresh off the press! Today the album releases of Chris Brown And the Beautiful Jennifer Hudson’s album hit stores today! These are two albums you do not want to sleep on. Both artist have had two of the biggest comebacks this year and we see it not only in their appearance but it is also apparent in their music.
Chris Brown, noted for having the biggest comebacks of 2011, is back and better then ever. He can coin the phrase, “Sitting On Top Of The World”. He is all about expressions these days. From him changing his hair to full blonde mode, to him leaking his entire temple all over the internet, “allegedly”smoking weed, and tapping into his painting endeavors. All of this press good or bad has only enhance his image for the better.
What can we say about the beautiful J-Hud, besides she is truly deserving of all things in her life. She has a natural high off life, which was not easily obtainable for the young songstress. After a few rough years of finding her way back to herself from mourning the sudden death of her entire family. She is back in business. She is surrounded by an abundance of love from her soon to be husband David, their lovely full spirited baby boy Daniel, her fans, and her music. What can a girl ask for. I am definitely rooting for my girl J-Hud.
