Chrisette Michele & Jennifer Holliday Honored by The Vision Community Foundation
On Friday June 22, 2012 The Vision Community Foundation honored Grammy Award Winning Artist Chrisette Michele for the diligent work she does in Community Service.
She has assisted the Vision Community Foundation in feeding on the streets of Atlanta and in offsetting a youth mentorship program where youth plant gardens nationwide and will learn how to sell the items they grow.
Chrisette’s passion for the community is often unpublicized. She has implemented such a major innovative impact with the grassroots organization, that the Vision Community Foundation wanted to take a moment and appreciate the beautiful artist for her work that she does on behalf of The Vision Community Foundation and throughout the world. Deputy Director, Avian Watson gave a heartfelt speech sharing the facts and figures of this grassroots non profit that has fed over 4000 people, equipped over 1000 with their HIV/AIDS status, graduated 10 adults from their GED Program all of which are in their second year of college, mentored and motivated Youth, and offset a Women’s health and Wellness Initiative with a primary focus on Breast Cancer, Obesity, Heart Health and Stroke Prevention. VCF CEO, Oliver Clyde Allen presented the award to Chrisette. After she recieved her award Chrisette publically thanked Avian Watson and The Vision Community Service sharing that our passions are one in the same. Chrisette sang a song in which event attendees joined in.
The Black Tie Affair was MC’d by Rashad Burgess who is the Center of Disease Contral Chief Capacity Branch Director of HIV/AIDS, STD, TB. The event also honored several Individuals who regionally oversee the mission and goals of organizations nationwide. I was so lost for words hearing Jennifer Holliday sing three beautiful songs and shared her testimony of how she had been blind and cripple and will now be staring in DreamGirls in New York again full story coming. The 51 year old Singer and Actress showed us that dreas really do come true!

Breaking News : Cure for Type II Diabetes Almost Found
New research suggests weight-loss surgery might be better than drugs at controlling a type of diabetes. A Cleveland Clinic study found that people who had the surgery were much more likely after a year to have control of type 2 diabetes. Those who didn’t have the surgery in the study got an advanced form of a non-insulin medication treatment.
One of the scientists said improvement in blood sugar readings occurred within “days and hours” of the surgery. He noted that many of the weight loss surgery patients left the hospital with normal blood sugar readings. Results of the study are published in the “New England Journal of Medicine.” Read More »
Lamar Odom Taking Time Off To Be With Father
Lamar Odom is stepping away from the basketball court to deal with a serious family matter. E! News says the Dallas Mavericks star was absent from Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers because his father, Joe Odom, is dealing with an illness. Lamar and his wife, Khloe Kardashian Odom, flew to Los Angeles earlier this week to be with Joe. Diddy Hospitalized With Extreme Migraine
 Sean “Diddy” Combs is back at home recovering after suffering an extreme migraine following Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. TMZ says the hip-hop superstar was throwing a post-Grammy party at the Playboy Mansion when he started having a headache. Diddy left the party and went home, but his friends reportedly became concerned and decided to take him to the emergency room at the UCLA Medical Center. Diddy was treated for his migraine and is said to be feeling much better.

One of his most profitable brands is his premium vodka “Ciroc”! Ciroc started out in 3 flavors (Red Berry, Blue Dot (original) & Coconut) & with the help of partner Atlanta superstar Jermaine Dupri was able to launch a fourth flavor (Peach) in late 2011.
The peach flavor definitely made a splash in the alcohol market because it was selling out in distributors all over the country. Apparently the success of the new peach flavor has sparked a new scam on the black market that could be potentially harmful to consumers.
