The city of Atlanta celebrated creative collective, Love Renaissance and Interscope Records in the official launch of LVRN Records & Studios. The invite-only celebration honored LVRN’s commitment to serve and support Atlanta’s creative talent and presented award plaques recognizing label artists 6LACK and Grammy-nominated DRAM.

As a foodie I live for the opportunity to get my grub on and work at the same time and I had the opportunity to do just that at the Surgeon’s Touch Foundation first ever Scalpel vs. Spatula Celebrity Chef with Angela Simmons, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Monyetta Shaw, & The Dream as they got their cooking on to benefit charity. The evening was dope as guests got the opportunity to sample good food from our favorite stars and learn about a great organization that’s doing good in the hood.

 Many blessing to Real Housewives of Atlanta star and former Ms. America  Kenya Moore got married in St. Lucia over the weekend!!! he told People Magazine that her new husband is “the love of her life.”

“I’m just ecstatic,” the Real Housewife said. “This man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife.”

Her hubby is a businessman that would rather stay out of the spotlight for now, but apparently that they met about a year ago and began dating months later.
So will we bare witness to a wedding on Season 10 of Real Housewives of Atlanta??? OMG I will be glued to the TV!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Dre is giving back in a major way! The hip-hop mogul and Compton native is donating $10 million dollars to help build a performing arts center at the new Compton High School.

In a statement about his donation, Dr. Dre says, “My goal is to provide kids with the kind of tools and learning they deserve. The performing arts center will be a place for young people to be creative in a way that will help further their education and positively define their future.”

Students and members of the community will have access to the center that will feature a 1,200-seat theater as well as state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for digital media production.

My blogger buddy The Jasmine Brand spilled some tea about the Tupac movie coming out this weekend, All Eyez on Me!  She said new details have surfaced as to why John Singleton is not producing All Eyez On Me, the film about the late rapper Tupac. The film’s producer LT Hutton says that ultimately they had creative differences with Singleton. In fact, Hutton says that Singleton wanted to add a scene where Pac got raped in prison. He also says that Singleton wanted to add an anal scene as well. Hutton explains,

 

The raped in jail stuff – yeah, he wanted to put that in there….He wanted to start the movie off: Tupac goes in the studio – one guys in the studio, he’s getting head….Tupac is with the other girl and these girls are white and Tupac tries to give her anal.

Hutton continues,

Now first of all anal wasn’t even around at that type of time — it wasn’t cool yet.

Continuing with how Singleton wanted to do the scene, he adds,

Hutton says,

Congrats to my girl Nene Leakes on her return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta!!!  When Real Housewives of Atlanta first aired on Bravo in 2008, the world wasn’t ready for reali-tea on Black Hollywood.  It was the third installment of The Real Housewives franchise, and has been going strong for nine seasons.

The Jasmine Brand is reporting that Katy Perry took to YouTube to help promote for her new album “Witness.” During her YouTube Live event, comedian and actress Amanda Seales might have stolen the spotlight for a quick few minutes.

During the segment of “Dinner and Discourse”, Seales shared some facts with Caitlyn Jenner about how her experience in America has been different, facts about government housing, and most importantly race in America. Jenner opens the floor on the discussion of race by stating,
