Beyonce and Solange Knowles stepped out together during a surprise visit to the J. Crew Spring 2012 fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week. We don’t see much of Beyonce’s belly in the gold sequin dress she’s rocking. And Solange fitting rocks a pink, blue and green color combination. I was waiting for Mama Knowles to pop up too.
Hip-hop’s fashionista Kanye West was obviously absent from this year’s Fashion Week in NYC. Normally a staple of the event, known for sitting in front row of major fashion events, Weezy was no where to be found, and neither were some major designers including his friend, Marc Jacobs. Rumor has it that West will skill Fashion Week in NYC completely to launch his womenswear collection next during during the fashion shows in Paris. Rumor also has it that Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, artwork designer for Watch the Throne, as a mentor.
Chanita Foster of Football Wives and Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks presented the first annual “Concert For A Cause,” which brought together fans, celebrities and athletes to raise money for Beyond The Game Foundation. The money will go towards a care mission to Swaziland to help families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Check out Kandi Burruss of Housewives of Atlanta rocking them red bottoms and she know what she’s doin in them jeans.
Chanita Foster went off on Eddie Long’s son, Edward long Jr. while he was singing. She thought he was singing about sex, turns out ol’ boy was singing a gospel song! Once she realized she was wrong, Chanita came out and apologized and here is the footage:
I love a black woman who can come out and admit when she’s wrong! I mean fa real, you only hear about black women that get angry and think they are always right, but Chanita did the opposite. I respect it. You can download Edward’s music on ITunes.
There were a slew of performances by RL from Next, Q from 112, Nicci Gilbert from Brownstone.
Atlanta Hawks player Josh Powell and Sacramento Kings player Marquis Daniels came through, as did Terri Vaughn and her husband, The Steve Harvey Morning Show co-host Sheryl Strawberry, actress Kesha Knight-Pulliam, V103 DJ Ramona Debreaux and singer Tiffany Bleu.
Shoutout to Exclusive Premium Energy Drink for sponsoring the event
The stars were out and about last night for 3rd annual Fashion Night Out, started by Vogue magazine’s Anna Wintour. My girl Diamond, who is currently enjoying that LA sun according to her Twitter (you better come back!), just dropped her new mix tape and threw a party to celebrate. The DJ played her new tracks, including “Hit Dat H**” & “#TeamPrettyBitches” and there were copies of her mixtape for everybody to take home. You can download B**** Musik 4: Poor Lil Rich Gurlhere.
Bone Crusher, Mr. Boomman and Mz. Shyneka from Hot 107.9 and DJ Scream were there. Her CD bangs hard, I’m rockin’ it now.
But enough talkin, check out the pics below: READ MORE
The lovely Brandy Norwood came through to perform at Atlanta Pride at Traxx Night Club. My girl did a medley of songs, including “What About Us” and “Right Here Waiting” and had fans screaming and singing along to every song. After showing up late, she apologized to fans who waited for 2 hour and a half. She later performed Almost Doesn’t Count acapella and killed it.
Much love to Brandy for coming out and showing ATL some love. She recently signed a new contract with RCA/Chameleon Records and will be working with Chris Brown, Frank Ocean and Rico Love (click here for more details).
Shoutout to Traxx Girls – They did it big this year. Nivea also came through to show the crowd some love.
