Friends and family will gather this week to mourn for fallen rapper Chris Kelly. The Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta will hold a viewing for Kelly on Wednesday, May 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services for the late Kris Kross rapper will be held the next day, May 9th, at 2:00 p.m at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. Last night, Reality TV’s brightest stars converged at Atlanta hotspot Bar One. Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Peter Thomas and his wife Cynthia Bailey, in conjunction with Hip Hop Weekly’s publisher Dave Mays (formerly of the Source) announced the UNSCRIPTED Reality Awards scheduled to take place in September of this year. The awards will highlight individuals in the world of reality TV and will be ground breaking for the television and film industry.

Akon arrives at Buckhead Bottle Bar, Atlanta,GA
Devyne Stephens is like the only person I know who can host a party (via Satellite) and still have a Stellar turn out. AKON gave his birthday speech and said he was actually only in Atlanta to switch planes (lay over flight) next thing he know the dinner he thought he’s have right quick turned into a bunch of phone calls asking what time he would arrive at the party. He was very happy to see so many family members and friends. Shout out to Simon Ghobadia for Closing Down the Buckhead Bottle Bar for the Private Party.

Last night I got the opportunity to attend BMI’s 15th Annual Unsigned Urban Showcase, held April 11 at Terminal West. The showcase, hosted by G.O.O.D.
The homie Teyana Taylor, featured Warner Bros. Records’ Curren$y and a surprise appearance by Cinematic/Def Jam Records’ recording artist Big K.R.I.T. Attendees included rapper Young Jeezy, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Stevie J. and Joseline Hernandez, songwriter Sean Garrison and more.
The showcase kicked off with rousing vocal performances by Unsigned Urban Showcase competition finalists Jade Novah, Spree Wilson, Skipper Jones and Dezzy Yates the Phreshbot. Read More »
