Sports legends, celebrities, corporate leaders, media personalities and more attended last night’s 27th Annual Great Sports Legends Dinner, hosted by The Buoniconti Fund. NBC Sports Icon, Bob Costas returned as Master of Ceremonies at the event, which paid tribute to philanthropic heroes and sports legends that inspire and motivate those affected by spinal cord injuries. Held at New York’s famed Waldorf=Astoria, the star-studded dinner raised nearly $18 million.
Team Hart Defeats Team Luda in the 2012 Ludaday Celebrity Basketball Game
Ludacris brought out all if his celebrity friends for his 7th Annual ‘Ludaday Weekend.’ On Sunday, the LudaDay Celebrity Basketball Game was held at the Morehouse College Forbes Arena.
The crowd was even more packed that previous years. During Ludaday Weekend, Ludacris highlighted local charities that support the city of Atlanta including; Frank Ski Kids Foundation, Inc., Keshia Knight Pulliam’s Kamp Kizzy, Antoine “Big Boi†Patton’s Big Kidz Foundation, Josh Powell’s 21 Reasons Foundation, Get Schooled.org, Do Something, Ryan Cameron Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta.
Ticket sales raised nearly $30,000 and benefited The Ludacris Foundation.
During the game Ludacris was honored with a proclamation from the City of Atlanta. September 2, in Atlanta is now Officially ‘Luda Day.’ Highlight included comedian Kevin Hart singing Monica’s, ‘Just One of Them Days’.
Also, there was a surprise appearance from Floyd Mayweather, who was on Team Luda. He played the entire game with no break and of course, Kevin Hart had jokes about that. Celebrity sightings included: Toya Wright and daughter Reginae Carter, Monica and her two sons, Akon, Keri Hilson, Tika Sumpter, Keke Palmer, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Fab, Letoya Luckett, Larenz Tate, Mase,  Lance Gross, “Love & Hip Hop ATL†couple Rasheeda and hubby Kurt, Momma Dee, Sammie, Diamon, TV Personality Big Tigger, Lil Chuckie and more. The final score was 103 (Team Hart) to 100 (Team Luda). Of course Kevin Hart didn’t cut Ludacris any slack with his team winning.

Trey Songz And Mario Give Back!!!

Over this past weekend Trey Songz and Mario both took times out of their busy schedules to perform for the Baltimore City Public School’s Annual Back to School Rally.  Growing up in B-More, Mario felt it was only right to come back and show some love to his home town.

I recently got the opportunity to photograph/attend one of the biggest celebrity kids fashion shows in Atlanta. Lil Scrappy, Erica, Mamma Dee and daughter Emani looked like the picture perfect family as they stopped to pose for the camera.

Rapper Lil’ Scrappy, his “Mamma Deeâ€, his rumored fiancee Erica Dixon, and their daughter Emani,7, were in attendance at the 2012 Runway Red: Safari Wonderland celebrity kids fashion show this past Saturday( August 11th) held at the Zoo.
The annual Runway RED fashion extravaganza benefits Show Me the Way Foundation’s efforts on HIV/AIDs research and awareness.
Proceeds from the show fund the SHE and HOLLA Back programs of the Show Me the Way Foundation, which educate youth infected or affected with HIV/AIDs on the disease and the importance of abstinence.

Celebs Help Russell Simmons Raise $2M at ‘Art for Life’
Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, and Tyler Perry are just a few of the celebs that came out to help raise raise over $2 million Russell Simmons’s 13th Annual ‘Art for Life’ charity event on Saturday.
Simmons hosted his annual Art for Life fundraiser at his East Hampton, New York home and dozens of celebrities showed up to support of the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which gives underprivileged children better access to arts programs.
This year’s event honored recording artists Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Betsy Z. Cohen (Bancorp Inc.), Tamia and Grant Hill (The Grant Hill Foundation), and Marc J. Leder (Sun Capital Partners Inc.). The main event was hosted by CNN’s Soledad O’Brien hosted the evening, while Star Jones led the Rush Kids Auction. Musical performances included Anita Baker, Salt-N-Pepa, Melanie Fiona and Diggy Simmons.
