Ms. Keri “Baby” Hilson covers the Complex Magazine Aug/Sept ‘09 issue. Kid Cudi is on the other side. This is the Style & Design issue, so does Keri Hilson and Kid Cudi come to mind when you think about Style & Design? I know Cudi is really into fashion and sneakers. As for Keri, I think she has a very nice style. An artist by the name of So-Me hooked up Keri’s artwork. He’s also done a number of videos for Kanye West. Check a bit of what she had to say.

How do you feel about your album and the way people are receiving it? It’s tough out here right now.

Keri Hilson: It’s doing very well. Especially given this industry—even though the business is hurting, the album is still achieving its projections. I’m proud of the album, but you can never expect how the world will receive you or your music.

So far, your biggest hits have been performed by other artists—Britney Spears, Omarion. Does that fact bother you at all?

Keri Hilson: No, it’s money in the bank. That’s my means of living. There’s two sides of me, and neither takes preference. One is just a dream that I fought long and hard for. Songwriting was my Plan B. My whole life, I’ve fought to just do this. I didn’t know that I’d be able to take off as far, or as fast, as I did, but I knew I had a talent and that I should pursue it, because there’s money in it. When I wasn’t able to perform, and lost the record deal, I took the path of Plan B, and now I love them equally. I can’t have one without the other. Even at my biggest, I want to be writing for other artists. Even at my peak—the highest I can be as an artist—I always want to be keeping my creative juices flowing, keeping money in the bank, putting my intellectual property out there.

Your singles, “Energy” and “Turnin Me On,” are remarkably different from each other.

Keri Hilson: I was very wary of that. Years ago, I wanted to be like the girl Ne-Yo. You know, with the mid-tempo ballads—I come from the Babyface era. But that’s not trendy, that’s not hip-hop. These days, you have to play it a different way. “Turnin Me On” did things that “Energy” could not have done in this day and time.

Okay so clearly I fell off just like half the other Americans with my New Years Resolution, Diet. I have to say just this week along I shoved my mouth full of cakes and pies. I have become very upset and have decided that I will start my diet this week, I’m going to pig out and eat everything I want before I kick of my new healthy lifestyle  or maybe not. So now that I have finally decided to make a change I’m ready to take my efforts public and go all out so starting tomorrow I will kick off my new Freddyo Twitter Diet! This diet will consist of:

1. Twittering every-time I get ready to eat anything no matter what it is.

2. No bread, sugar, sauces ( ketchup, tatar sauce, cocktail sauce etc..) no flour, no pasta, or carbs

• For the first month! Yes! You heard me right 30 DAYS!!!!  You Can Not have anything above.
•  I have to change 3 things that I use to do that I no longer do anymore and twitter every time I think I want to eat them or go back to doing that action. 
• Yes I will be working out and twittering every day…  Big up’s to my trainer Jody from “Body Beautiful” he will be making sure I stay on it.

Please if you are interested in joining me please read the “Dr. Atkins” book and as we go along with this diet I will be posting more information up. The goal of the first part of this diet is to loose the weight quick so that you will want to continue  the diet. Like most people if you see that the weight is coming off you will want to work harder. The first Phase is considered to be the hardest so I will really need yall help with the diet… So please send me yall support twits or join me on the diet..

You are expected to loose 3 to 5 pounds a week if you are doing it right! For more information on the diet please read the “Dr. Atkins” book!

Ok I told yall that Mary was working on her acting career but here is more info on her new role. Music superstar Mary J. Blige will soon be appearing in a big screen project from writer-director Tyler Perry.
Perry cast the singer in ‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself,’ which just finished taping in the ATL last month. In the Film which comes out this fall Blige will play a performer who manages a nightclub, the film also co-star Taraji P. Henson as her friend.

Mary had been taking acting classes for almost 2 years to get ready for the role and “put her heart and sole in the film. Get this, it is said that there was all types of drama took place on the set, but I will tell yall about that a little later. For all yall that wants to know if Madea will make an appearance in the film the answer is “yes“.
‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself’ is scheduled to hit theaters in September.

I was on Necolebitchie.com and saw this story about this man who on paper, has 20 possibly 21 children. He has a minimum wage job, and can’t afford to support any of them or but he try’s his hardest to give them 40 dollars every other month. This is why there are so many children that are crazy out there. You can say section 8, and well fair is hard at work on that family!!!
