D’Angelo Russell burst on the scene all the way back in his High School days at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida in his sophomore season in 2014 where he helped Montverde win back-to-back High School National Tournament championships. Later that year D’Angelo played in the McDonald’s All-American game and the Jordan Brand Classic as a commit to Ohio State as Rivals.com rated him as a five-star recruit.
After only playing at Ohio State for 1 year D’Angelo declared for the NBA draft and became the 2015 Round 1 #2 Draft Pick to the Los Angeles Lakers and played 1 year and was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
While the whole world was watching to see what D’Angelo Russell was going to do as he takes on his new home as a Brooklyn Nets player family ties don’t fall far from his tree dreams of becoming a professional basketball player and playing in the NBA.

The Swain Basketball Academy is now accepting registrations to develop your student athletes Individual development and training through group training, team training, basketball camps and shooting gun workouts. They are committed to small one on one development as well. What makes the Swain Basketball Academy stand out as a staple Atlanta training facility? I would have to say it’s the passion and drive of it’s founder Robert Swain.
In case you are not familiar with Robert Swain’s principles. Players are welcome to all different skill levels who have a desire to learn, train, and compete in basketball. Courtcred.com describes Robert Swain by saying the following:
A three-time National AAU champ with the Atlanta Celtics, Swain averaged 29 points, eight rebounds and five assists during his senior year at Tri-Cities High School. Regarded as a Top 50 recruit, Swain committed to UConn and rounded out a recruiting class that included McDonald’s All-Americans Taliek Brown and Scott Hazelton, Caron Butler and Johnnie Selvie. The following year with the additions of Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor, UConn won the Big East Championship and made it to the Elite Eight. However, minutes were scarce for Swain in Storrs and he transferred to the College of Charleston. He played two season for the Cougars before graduating and then finally playing professionally in Europe.
During his time back home from overseas Swain would hold free training sessions for the kids in the community. These sessions would fill up with about 70 to 80 kids. But it wasn’t until Swain hit rock bottom that he realized his ability to motivate and help others get better as a real gift from above. Swain got himself into some legal issues and had to serve two years in the federal penitentary. Having felt like he lost it all, it was basketball and his relationships developed through the game that kept him sane. His former head coach Jim Calhoun was the recipient of many collect calls and answered them every time. To keep himself occupied, Swain began to train prisoners and came up with the business plan for “Swain Basketball Academy” during a stint in solitary confinement. The company’s current slogan, “Own Your Moment,” came from behind those walls.
Today, The Swain Basketball Academy offers two different locations where your child can be properly developed.

As various states move towards the legitimation of marijuana, professionals are noticing the addition of a specific illness that is connected with systematic use of the drug. Emergency rooms have been beholding an inflow of patients with the same symptoms, severe abdominal pain and intense vomiting , and this increase is especially high in certain states that have already decriminalized the use of marijuana.

Today we as people have embarked on a new era. The times have changed, the seasons have turned and the people have become vain and numb to the sensible way of living. The things we had once cared about have become waste, the decisions we’ve made as a people have created a generation of lost love for souls. Where as before the founding forefathers were brought over to America fought against the slave owners to keep their families together. Where as now people fight against their own families to get away from them by getting a divorce, or legal separation, or even as far as creating baby daddy’s and baby momma’s. How can we as a people want more out of life when life is demanding more out of us and we refuse to give more of what we have to offer back to life. The challenge to overcome every obstacle is not won by fighting the obstacle itself but by overturning its intentions to break us down and keep us from moving in the direction we were attempting to go before the challenge was in our way.

So today is the 4th of July and it is also our independence day!! As I grow older I start to question these holiday’s that society is kind of brainwashing people to celebrate when the real reason for celebrating it is overlooked. You might think that I am reading into it too deeply but in reality the majority don’t look into it deep enough!
Our flag colors red, white, and blue. Does anyone know what they signify? I haven’t looked the significance of the colors up but I do know that red stands for blood and blood is related to pain. If pain is on our flag and we portray to other countries that we are so just, fair, and liberal than why do other countries hate us so much?
I really don’t get it and I do not want to take away from people’s true beliefs in this festive day but I really just want you to think about what you are celebrating. It never hurts to do a little history on everything that occurs around you!
Stay woke everyone and have a SAFE happy 4th of July!

Money, Money, Money! The quickest and easiest way to stay ahead of the game is to be educated, correct? Well, guess what artist is on the rise in making a billion, yes I said BILLION, dollar contract with Adidas? Don’t worry I’ll wait…
Okay, I’m tired of waiting, Kanye West is at it again and he will never stop, yes he is in the process of making a big money deal with Adidas. But I know everyone wants to know why Adidas, right?
Wednesday Adidas announced that they made a deal breaker contract with the genius Kanye West that could have a seismic impact on the sport and street fashion worlds. Well, we never expect less from Kanye anyways so I honestly can’t wait for that collaboration to unfold, how about you?
He is also getting his own design team made up of the best of the best in the industry!
We are told that part of the contract will include Kanye actually designing clothes for basketball and football players. The only thing is that this will take some time. Anything worth it takes valuable time and precision with all this being said it will take a couple of years to get the proper merchandise and materials but it will be worth the wait!
We love you Kanye keep inspiring these artistic people all over and being a smart businessman!
