T-Pain is taking the vocal device that made him a star to court. The singer filed a lawsuit this week against Antares Technologies — the company behind auto-tune — alleging the company is using his name and image without his permission. T-Pain left Antares back in June to start a product called “The T-Pain Effect” with the company Izotope. Despite their separation, the hip-hop star says Antares continues to use him to try to sell their products. T-Pain’s lawsuit alleges that Antares’ actions are causing confusion in the marketplace, and damaging the sale of his upcoming product.
T-Pain is seeking at least one-million dollars in damages, and wants an injunction prohibiting Antares from using his name and image to sell their products. If Pain gets the money he can buy you lots of drink… LOL how is that for a segway…
Young Jeezy fans can start marking their calendars. The emcee was performing at New York’s Highline Ballroom on Monday night when he announced that his next album, “Thug Motivation 103,” will be arriving on September 20th. The long-awaited record will be Jeezy’s fourth studio effort, and is set to feature appearances from artists like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Kanye West, and Ludacris. Blink-182 rocker Travis Barker plays drums on the album’s intro, and tells Rap-Up.com they put together an “amazing” and “epic” sound.
“Thug Motivation 103” will be Young Jeezy’s follow-up to 2008’s “The Recession,” which hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
Young Jeezy took over the Buckhead Theatre here in Atlanta on Tuesday night. The concert, sponsored by Atlanta’s V103 and Miller Lite, was free with tickets given only to V103 winners. READ MORE
My granny loooooove herself  some Sister 2 Sister Magazine, she has to see what Jamie Foster Brown has to say. The August edition of Sister2Sister Mag will showoff the lovely Nivea! The Dream and Lil’ Wayne’s baby mama will dish the dirt on family, career, and the fathers’ of her children. Check out the excerpt:
Jamie: Are you going to do a reality show? Nivea: Honestly, I’ve been approached but I wasn’t interested because, like I’ve been saying, I’m a very private person. And on some real, it ain’t even about the kids and all that; it’s about that I don’t think people are ready for my kind of real. (laughs) I’m not trying to “be†a certain way; I’m just passionate about whatever I’m talking about and what I’m doing, and people tend to use that against you. And I’m not ready for that type of backlash ‘cause I’d wanna fight everybody. Like, “What’d you say?!†READ MORE

While there are tons of bloggers out here on the net, I wanted to take this time out of the day to recognize two bloggers who I respect: Angel Laws of Concrete Loop and Fred Mwangaguhunga of Mediatakeout. Both of them are on opposite ends of the blogosphere but there are unique things about them that make them standout.
First off, I want to congratulate Angel on her new book! I went in Barnes & Nobles and spotted her book. I copped 5 copies; one for myself and the other four for close friends of mine who are aspiring bloggers. I love that Angel put out a book to share her journey of blogging and how others can do it too. I’m glad that she recognizes that there’s enough room for all us here on the net. Her book is just a reflection of the positive energy that she puts out into the world. If you haven’t already got your copy of “Angel’s Law Of Blogging” be sure to do so. Congratulations again Angel!
Secondly, I wanted to give my homie and mentor Fred Mwangaguhunga a shout out. He had triplets and working on some big things. Just so yall know Fred is the guy behind the worlds biggest African American blog Mediatakeout.com. His website gets millions of unique views everyday. His website is mainly known for his extreme and bizarre stories about celebrities and other random outlandish ish. Last month he sat down to give Shamika Sanders of the Urban Daily an interview (WHICH IS SUPER RARE!). Check out the video interview here: READ MORE
