Andre Benjamin better known by his rap persona Andre 3000 has been a musician, actor, producer, and half of the world renowned group Outkast.

 He is now on to a new venture, directing videos. The first video he is set to direct is entitled “Sixteen” by Rick Ross, from his new album “God Forgives, I Dont”.


Along with being director of the video, Andre 3000 is also featured on the track along side other artists such as Dr. Dre, Meek Mill, Usher, And Drake who will also make appearances of the album as well.

It looks like the collaboration between Drake and Aaliyah is more than just a rumor. Not long after reports surfaced about the rapper working with unreleased material from the late singer, producer Noah “40” Shebib put a new Aaliyah song featuring Drake on Soundcloud. Called “Enough Said,” the track might be the first release from a posthumous Aaliyah album, which Drake is reportedly executive producing. However, it turns out not everyone is on board with that idea. Longtime Aaliyah collaborator Timbaland recently told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that “it would not be right” for Drake to go forward with the record on his own. READ MORE


Cyhi the Prynce is one of G.O.O.D. music’s most anticipated artists. It is safe to say, the Georgia native has earned his keep and is ready to claim his thrown with hits such as Kanye’s, 2010’s “So Appalled,” CyHi dropping his first mixtape as a G.O.O.D. Music artist, titled “Royal Flush,” and of course releasing two mixtapes, “Royal Flush 2″ and “Jack of All Trades,” in In 2011. Don’t think Cyhi is ready to stop there. His new project is entitled, the ‘Ivy League Club’ mixtape. You can find beats on his mixtape from Mike Will, Lex Luger, Drumma Boy, T-Minus and more, while featured guests include B.o.B, ScHoolboy Q and Big K.R.I.T., Hit Boy, and more.

CyHi the Prynce recently sat down to speak about what it feels like to be doubted, the importance of Kanye West’s input, and his debut album. Check out a few excerpts from the interview and more below.

Cyhi speaks on his latest Mixtape “Ivy League Club”:
It’s really an extension from my younger days. [Ivy League Club] was my code for the marijuana trade. I was looked at as the weed man earlier in my teens. It was a clever way of me saying that without saying that. I feel like I grew up around a lot of intelligent young men and I thought me and my friends were pretty intelligent to be from where we’re from. Some of us got caught up but a lot of us didn’t. We’re blessed. I feel like that was the most resemblance of myself and my upbringing.


G.O.O.D Music Releases “Cruel Summer” Album Cover

Earlier today Kanye took to Twitter to give fans a glimpse of the “Cruel Summer” Album Art Work.

Cruel Summer,  is scheduled to finally hit the streets on September 4th. The album will include music from Yeezy, Q-Tip, Common, Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi The Prynce, Teyana Taylor, 2 Chainz, Hit Boy, and many more guest appearances.
The cover art, which was made by Kanye’s creative team at DONDA, follows the same creative trend as Kanye’s last album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

In the meantime, G.O.O.D. Music can be found gracing the cover of Complex’s August/September issue. In the “Good Music: New Religion” cover story, seven of the group’s most illustrious members share secrets behind the group’s dynamic. The also discuss the role Kanye has in each of their lives, musically.

We recently learned that Mariah Carey will be a new judge on American Idol  in its upcoming season and it seems like she is gonna take advantage of the extra press while she can. Today Mariah is releasing the first single in years “Triumphant (Get Em)”. This song is the first advance single from Mariah’s 14th studio album. “Triumphant” will hit the air waves today (Thursday, August 2,2012) and will be available to purchase on iTunes next week. Mariah took to twitter to tell her followers about her new single.

Drake currently in studio working on Aaliyah Album

According to HipHopDX, Drake has been selected by Aaliyah’s estate to executive produce the late singer’s next album. It’s also reported that Drake will sample the deceased singer on his new single, and will premiere the record this weekend at Toronto’s OVO Fest.

Last spring while overseas, Drake hinted to Tim Westwood that he had some special plans related to the late singer in the works. “I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon,” he said. “Just some special things. Just gave you that, just a little. Because I said, I’m with Westwood, so I can’t not. But great things, great things for music, period.” READ MORE

Born to Nigerian parents in Washington, D.C., Wale  now calls himself the “Ambassador of Rap for the Capital”, but over the but he recently spread some of his D.C. love to his second home A.T.L..  Wale brought out some of his celebrity friends including Yo-Gotti, and  Stalley, many more were spotted at club Cream in Atlanta. The party was for Wale’s album which recently when Gold.

He signed with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group to release Ambition, his second studio album. When Ambition‘s first single, “Lotus Flower Bomb” reached the top of Billboard‘s Hot R&B / Hip-Hop chart, it was Wale’s biggest hit to date. Wale nabed his fourth top 10 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as “Bag of Money,” featuring Meek Mill, T-Pain and Rick Ross, jumped 13-8 and now his album has gone gold.
