Wale And His New Baby Zyla!

Late, late, late last night we found out that the musical artist Wale, welcomed his baby girl into the world. This is very exciting for him and his family as I can imagine. He made a post last night with a picture of him holding his daughter’s hand and under it a long post was attached. The baby’s name is Zyla and he also introduced again his new album called: SHINE.

The real tea is who is the baby’s mother? We never knew that Wale was dating or was in a serious enough relationship to actually have a child with someone. I mean did I miss something? Because I’m not a die heart Wale fan but I do like his music. With that being said I wouldn’t know if I missed Wale being seen with someone that we all suspected him to be dating.

Last I remember he was making songs about getting married but then made an interview that that song was not about anyone particular and he was not dating. I know things can happen and not just in the celebrity world so maybe it was one of those soul recognition things at first sight.

Congrats Wale!

It’s no secret Chef Mali Hunter has the most infamous #FamousDinners at the legendary Tree Sound Recording Studios. Typically these dinners are private invites for artists who have invested their time & recording energy to perfecting their crafts in one of Tree Sound private studio rooms. The dinners serve as congratulatory salutations to celebrate the artists hard work & let the media and taste makers of Atlanta experience the finished product.

Quincy Jones wanted to make sure his artist Lee England Jr was presented to the world in the best light possible. So its not a surprise that he would tap Mali Hunter on the shoulder to set up an amazing dinner with some pretty amazing people in Atlanta! Lee England Jr not only introduced us to his incredible Soul Orchestra but he brought along a friend, the infamous Ashanti the mad violinist. What an incredible evening!

Kwanza Hall, Mali Hunter and Paul Diaz

To top things off Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall showed up (along with his wife Natalie Hall) and made a special announcement. Not only did he present Mali Hunter, Groove Chambers and Paul Diaz and the Tree Sound Recording Studios with a proclamation from the city of Atlanta because of all their philanthropic efforts but Monday July 18th was declared National Tree Sound Recording Studio Day!

Courvoisier cocktails permeated throughout the room. Coronas flowed galore for the beer lovers and of course you can’t eat Mali’s #Famousdinners without topping off your dishes with tastely “Cholula Hot Sauce.” You never know who you are going to see at Chef Mali’s Famous Dinners so it’s best to just be prepared. You may be able to network with people you would never have met anywhere else and the relationships you form at Tree Sound studios could be 100% life changing.

Special thanks to Terri J Vaughn, Angie Stone, Jasmine Guy, Shanti Das, Kwanza Hall, Loraine Smith, Jonell PR, Ed Lover, Paras Griffin, Romello, Daniel Watson the Tree Sound staff and a host of others that always support #ChefMali

American boy band Mindless Behavior came on the music scene in 2008 with the help of Keisha Gamble, Walter Millsap and Vincent Herbert. Their debut album # 1 Girl was released in 2011 and debuted on US Billboard 200 album chart at number seven. Mindless Behavior has toured with the likes of mainstream artist as the Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo and was the sole opening act for the one and only superstar Janet Jackson. The list goes on and on being the headliner for BETs first Closer To My Dreams tour alongside various other artist and also headlined the SCREAM tour.

Who enjoyed this year’s BET awards? As I mentioned yesterday, many people were shocked at the fact that Beyoncé’s dancers had made an appearance and they wondered if that meant Yoncé was in the building. Well, again to everyone’s surprise she was and she performed a powerful song from her album, Lemonade. Can anyone guess which one it was?

2016 BET Awards - Show

“Freedom, Freedom, I can’t move. Freedom cut me loose.” Yes, Beyonce along with the talented genius Kendrick Lamar performed “Freedom” last night. Not only was it an amazing performance because of who they are but also because of the severe messages that pierced through each word, each note, and each movement.

When you are educated you start to see the world in an entirely new perspective and every little thing carries a lot of weight. With that said, the underlying messages in their performances literally brought me to tears.

If you gave up on BET before I now encourage you to go check out this latest show because that was not the only profound moment of that night!

Positivity, peace and love is what it is all about.

The 2016 BET Awards was epic and by far one of the best awards the Network has done so far. The show was hosted by “Black-ish” stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross who’s great  chemistry and playfulness energized fans and prepared audiences at the Microsoft Theater and across the world for a fun show. The show was hot from start with Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar getting everyone in formation to the close out with the beautiful Sheila E honoring her mentor and friend Prince. I can recap the in between and share my behind the scenes photos after the break. READ MORE
