Drake currently in studio working on Aaliyah Album
According to HipHopDX, Drake has been selected by Aaliyah’s estate to executive produce the late singer’s next album. It’s also reported that Drake will sample the deceased singer on his new single, and will premiere the record this weekend at Toronto’s OVO Fest.
Last spring while overseas, Drake hinted to Tim Westwood that he had some special plans related to the late singer in the works. “I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon,†he said. “Just some special things. Lil Twist has yet to release his debut, but he says Hollywood is already knocking on his door. The Young Money rapper tells Billboard he’s “got a few scripts on the table,” including a voice-over project he’s particularly interested in. But while fans can look forward to seeing Lil Twist on the big screen sometime in the near future, he says music is still his main priority. 
Chris Brown is on his way back to the big screen next year. Brown will be starring in the upcoming 3D dance movie “Battle of The Year,†which focuses on an American B-Boy crew competing at the Battle of the Year International Championships in France.
Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, and Caity Lotz are also a part of the cast. “Battle of The Year†will hit theaters January 25, 2013. Check out the trailer below: 
Earlier this year we lost one of Hip Hops pioneers but threw the magic of film we get to see him doing his thing one more time. Sources reports the last film shot by late rapper Heavy D is set to be released in 2013, reports Sister 2 Sister magazine.

The new Lifetime Steel Magnolias movie is an upcoming American comedy-drama television film directed by Kenny Leon that will premiere on the Lifetime Network. The new film stars a all-Black cast and was filmed in the ATL, the cast includes Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Condola Rashad, Adepero Oduye with Phylicia RashÄd and Alfre Woodard, P.S. ladies Lance Gross is also in the film. In the new first looks of the movie trailer fans will be pleased to see it feels very much like the first movie. 
“Think Like a Man,†the film that was based on the #1 New York Times Best Seller written by Steve Harvey, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man†will be getting a sequel.
Despite the rush to green light the Think Like a Man sequel, a firm release date has yet to be announced.
