Beyonce No-Show for Journalism Award

Beyonce was recently awarded by the New York Association of Black Journalists (NYABJ) for an article for her “Eat, Play, Love” article written for Essence Magazine. The article was an exclusive look into the notoriously private life of Beyonce, and her first self-written article for a magazine.

If you were in Atlanta last week and you weren’t at the W Hotel in Buckhead then (please don’t slit your wrist) when you hear about the fabulous time that you missed. Ok, where do I start? I knew I was under dressed as I walked down this red (light special) lit hallway to the Ballroom. Once I made it to the red carpet I noticed a Classic Brown Mahogany wood Step and Repeat w/white grey goose geese on it (Very Classy). Next I went into the Media/”Private Room”. Wow, there was a bookcase that looked like a wall that had a secret door. Only difference was the password was “press”. There was R & B Diva Monica looking like a breath of fresh air in her white suit. Then I should have known her Knight in Shining Armor Shannon Brown(but he was actually white too) was not too far from her side.

I am not going to even comment on my girl “Toya Wright’s” get up (Green Jeans, Red Bottoms) and a Pony Tail that made her look younger than Regginae. She’s HOT! No offense MeMpHiTz but I had to say it!

Top Songwriters Attend 2012 SESAC Pop Awards

More than 400 songwriters, publishers, industry professionals, and A-List stars attended the 16th annual SESAC Pop Awards.

The ceremony was held at New York’s Skylight SoHo and celebrated the organization‘s biggest talents. Producer/songwriter Rico Love named the big winner of Friday night’s event – winning Songwriter of the Year Award. Rihanna Tweets Picture of IV in Her Arm

It seems like a lot of these celebrities are getting sick all of a sudden. Rihanna tweeted this image of her arm with an IV drip in it! There’s no word about what cause her illness. Hopefully it’s not the same bug that hospitalized comedian, Tracy Morgan. TMZ reported, Rihanna recently missed a live dress-rehearsal at SNL due to being sick. Jay-Z Performance At 2012 South By Southwest

 Jay-Z had Austin, Texas’ South By Southwest music festival rocking on Monday night. The rap superstar took the stage at the Moody Theater for the “Amex Sync Show Presenting Jay-Z.” Jay ran through his incredible collection of hits during his set, including his 2000 single “Big Pimpin’.”

Jay-Z’s set also included performances of the songs “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “I Just Wanna Love You,” “Run This Town,” “H To The Izzo,” “Empire State of Mind,” and “On To The Next One.” Jay also treated fans to his track “Glory,” which is inspired by his new daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. ‘Red Tails’ New York Move Premiere: Cuba Gooding ,Terrence Howard Tia Mowry, Ne-Yo Marcus T. Polk and more

Last night was the movie premiere of World War II drama “Red Tails” in New York City which drew out many of the movie’s cast members and some of the real-life airmen depicted in the film.

The film which was inspired by actual events, “Red Tails” tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first group of African-American fighter pilots in the U.S. armed forces.

Move Producer George Lucas has a lot riding on “Red Tails” he has spent $58 million to make the film and $35 million more to distribute it.

Attendees at the premiere: Cuba Gooding, Jr., and Terrence Howard, happily posed for picturesbut got alittle to touchy feely. Director Spike Lee also came out to support.

NYE 2012 in Miami: Ludacris, Rick Ross, Mike Epps, DJ Khaled, Terrence J, Larenz Tate

Rapper Ludacris and his fiancee Eudoxie was spotted attending the New Year’s Eve party in Miami Florida. Luda hosted the Red Bull Sound clash concert where he performed rocking the NYE.

Other celebrities also hosted separate parties in Miami that includes rapper Rick Ross and Terrence J. Sources also reported that Sean Combs filmed part 2 of his “Luck Be a Lady” commercial at his mansion. However, no photos were released.  There was reportedly cell phone blockers that prevented anyone from tweeting pictures to the world outside.
