Michelle Obama has made her own name for herself. She is the first First Lady to let it be known that she is her own person with her own thoughts and actions. She makes it known that her and President Barack Obama work together as a team and always will to make decisions in the best interest of the American people.
Last night at the Democratic Convention, Michelle gave us what seems very close to the last piece of her useful knowledge in the position that she is in.
She made another speech that touched lives and made people reevaluate their reasons for living in a positive way. She kept it very honest and straightforward which is another reason why I love her and still related to many people.
Although people may not like her or the fact that she is a strong black woman who holds her own and is not walked all over by her husband, she continues to thrive.
The reason so many young girls will have hope today for wanting more in life is because of the necessary example that she has set.
Thank you Michelle for never letting us down but always lifting us up with your words, but most importantly your actions!
Fantasia performed her new song “I Made It” off of her new album “The Definition Of…” on Good Morning America this morning! It seems like Fantasia has been hidden for such a long time and then just popped out suddenly with new music! Her new album drops this Friday, July 29th! I don’t know about you all but I am interested to hear how her new album will turn out and I am saving that date!
I heard that some of the songs are gospel as well as her original R&B. Now, that is a new one and I hope the public responds with just the same amount of enthusiasm as they would if gospel was not incorporated on her album.
I am so glad that Fantasia took this time to work on herself and perfect her craft. As I always say, it is very essential that all artist take a timeout. With a world so revolved on how many likes you get or retweets the creativity and authenticity seems to be lost.
I do not know if many will like the gospel aspect of Fantasia’s new album but I am hoping that they do. I mean with all this turmoil in the world we need GOD now more than ever.
People better Wake Up!
Late, late, late last night we found out that the musical artist Wale, welcomed his baby girl into the world. This is very exciting for him and his family as I can imagine. He made a post last night with a picture of him holding his daughter’s hand and under it a long post was attached. The baby’s name is Zyla and he also introduced again his new album called: SHINE.
The real tea is who is the baby’s mother? We never knew that Wale was dating or was in a serious enough relationship to actually have a child with someone. I mean did I miss something? Because I’m not a die heart Wale fan but I do like his music. With that being said I wouldn’t know if I missed Wale being seen with someone that we all suspected him to be dating.
Last I remember he was making songs about getting married but then made an interview that that song was not about anyone particular and he was not dating. I know things can happen and not just in the celebrity world so maybe it was one of those soul recognition things at first sight.
How many of you tuned into the new Basketball Wives LA last Sunday where we were introduced to Dujuan Blair’s girlfriend/babymam Angel “Love” Davis? Seems Vh1 made way for a very good introduction of Angel Love to the vh1 audience by simply debuting Angel engaging in conversation with her and returning cast member and bestie Angel Brinks.
The conversation was a little confusing as in one breath Angel Love stated how much her and her man loved each other to death and how they have a 1 year old daughter. Then in the next breath she spoke on her and her man having problems and how she needed a break to make him realize how much he would be missing his girls. Hmmmm is this a good idea for the newbie? Girl don’t let them vultures know when there is trouble in paradise. Not even when you are taking a break! Mums the word!
Let’s just hope Ms Angel knows to make sure Mr Blair continues to “cut the check” regardless of break or no break! Don’t quit your day gig as a RN. I can’t wait to see what tricks Tami Roman and Shaunie O’neil will be up to while on the turn up again.
Brandi Mitchell and her side kick DJ newbie Duffie better watch out cause this go round there is a new cutie pie on board and she’s got “Brains, Beauty and a real career. Tune in this Sunday at 9pm ET to catch the tea! Ms Jackie Christie and Malaysia please be nice to the newbies but especially Angel Love as she is going to be our new favorite “rookie” and friend to the site.
A.J. Bohannon, a Black Lives Matter activist who once watched his cousin mistakenly get gunned down by police in 2012, had gathered more than 1,000 other activists to march through the streets of Wichita, Kansas on Sunday afternoon. But that plan changed when he received a call from Wichita’s new police chief just days before the scheduled event. The new idea was to hold an event where police and protesters could effectively come together to ease the tensions that have risen in the wake of recent police shootings in America.
There are bigger and bigger changes being made each day in our society for the better even if that is not what is publicized. In Houston, it was just reported that Paul Wall called together a lot of rappers in H town to invest their monies in a black owned bank. These are the types of things that we need to be teaching our children so that the seed of our people may start to flourish again.
Johnny Dang has been very active in getting people in the black community to become more aware of the richness in the black culture. He has been an alleyway in the community and has had full support behind this collective move as well.
Salute to all the black brothers who are supporting these kinds of things and promoting them trying to get everyone on the same page. Slowly but shortly better days will come but we must first all make conscious efforts to be honest and supportive of one another.
Tearing each other down has gone on for too many generations and I don’t see a better time than now to call for a serious change!
