Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson could now be facing up to a year in jail for head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada. This is not the first time Chad has been hit with the domestic violence case. Back in 2000, he was convicted of slapping his girlfriend after accusing her of cheating. According to Gossip Extra, a Ft. Lauderdale attorney clearified that because of his prior conviction in the Broward County State Attorney could make Chad’s current misdemeanor charge a felony and mandatory prison.
The Ft. Lauderdale attorney stated, “Whether the previous incident happened in California or Florida, it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve seen it done with other suspects.â€Â Could this mean jail time for Ochocinco?
So not only could Chad be facing jail time he also is going to be going through a divorce. Just a little over 30 days married, domestic violence and now Evelyn has filed for divorce. Allegedly, Chad headbutted her during a heated argument about condoms he purchased. The reality star of Basketball Wives, according to TMZ is scheduled for a discussion about her soon-to-be-ex-husband Chad with Good Morning America.
