Record executive Clive Davis isn’t bringing the late Whitney Houston’s life to movie theaters. A rep for Davis tells GossipCop that “there is no truth” to reports that Davis is working on a Houston biopic. A previous report in the U.K.’s “Daily Mail” said Davis was currently working to finalize a script. The report also stated that Rihanna was the leading candidate to play Whitney, with Jennifer Hudson, Vivica Fox, and Jordin Sparks also being considered for the role. While Whitney’s life story isn’t on its way to the big screen, fans will still be able to catch her in theaters later this year. She’s set to star opposite of Jordin Sparks in the musical drama “Sparkle.” The film opens on August 17th.
