Dr. Conrad Murray says he was only giving into Michael Jackson’s begging when he gave the pop star propofol. The doctor says in a controversial documentary that aired Friday night on MSNBC that he only gave Michael a “tiny bit” of propofol to help the singer sleep because Jackson kept asking for the drug he referred to as “milk.”
Titled “Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” the documentary was filmed over a two year period beginning just a few months after Jackson’s death in 2009 while under Murray’s care, and ending before the doctor’s conviction on an involuntary manslaughter charge last Monday. In the documentary, Murray also says during a strategy session with his lawyers that he didn’t call 911 right away on the day Michael Jackson died because, as a medical professional, he felt he could do whatever the paramedics could do. The doctor is also seen expressing impatience with his legal team for not being prepared during a key cross-examination. He gets so angry in one scene in the documentary that he tells his own mother to be quiet and stop interrupting him.
Murray sobs openly at the end of the documentary recalling the passing of his patient and friend Michael Jackson before walking off the camera saying he couldn’t talk any more.
Murray is scheduled to be sentenced on November 29th. His lawyers are planning to appeal.
This will go down history Troy Davis Trail,OJ Trial,Casey Anthony Trial,Now MJ Trial never forgotten
Even if he is telling the truth by saying michael begged him for the drugs as a liscensed doctor you cant just prescribe a patient something because they “begged” for it. Murray needs to just be honest and say that he was being paid to do whatever michael wanted which resulted in his death…..he should have lost his doctorate for that and go to jail point blank.
I REALLY DO NOT BELIEVE HE INTENDED ON KILLING MJ, BUT HE SHOULD HAVE TRIED OTHER METHODS TO HELP HIM THAN THE ILLEGAL DRUGS.
