Contestant On “Wheel Of Fortune” Has Greatest Wrong Answer In History

A contestant on “Wheel of Fortune” on Tuesday missed the equivalent of a very short putt.A player identified as “Kevin” was one letter away from solving the puzzle. It read, “A Streetcar Na-ed Desire.” Kevin decided to spin the wheel again and landed on the $600 piece. He said, “K.”

“A Streetcar Naked Desire.”

He was wrong and the crowd let out a collected sigh. The opponent to Kevin’s left correctly solved the puzzle, “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

“A Streetcar Named Desire” is the name of the famous work by American playwright Tennessee Williams.

Pat Sajak, the show’s host, was a good sport about the mistake.

“Although you got the right answer,” he told the winning contestant, “I’d rather see Kevin’s play. But that’s just me.”

ABC 6 reported that at the end of the show, Sajak gave one parting shot to Kevin.

“The nice thing I can tell from meeting you, you’re a nice guy and I’ll bet you have really nice friends. They’re not going to make any remarks to you. They’re not going to give you any grief at all. Good luck with that,” Sajak said.
