Da Brat is no longer living life behind prison walls. On Monday, So So Def CEO Jermaine Dupri announced on his Twitter page that Da Brat has been released. Dupri writes, quote, “Happy day for me and all SO SO DEF fans, Da BRAT is finally home.” Da Brat was arrested in 2007 for hitting a waitress in the head with a bottle at Dupri’s Studio 72 nightclub. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault charges, and in 2008 she was sentenced to three years in prison, seven years of probation, and 200 hours of community service.
