Just a prayer away might be  more literal than we think, but that doesn’t mean that we should stop praying for a change. Today, we found shocking news that touched our souls. The Police say that one person has been shot and killed at a Georgia church run by the pastor. The shooting took place at World Changers Church International on Wednesday morning about (10:30). In a time of need, prayer changes thing, but this prayer was a little far fetched and might have been the last thing that took place in the victim’s life.

The station reports that the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he took his final breath and died. It was also stated that one person fled the scene in a black Subaru.  Floyd Palmer, 52, is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting in the church’s chapel, according to police and Channel 2 Action News.

In a cold world like today, we need to be the strength for all those who are associated with the church and this unfortunate tragedy. Our prayers go up for the families involved. The church was a place that we could go to in times of trouble, not the place where trouble begins.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the shooting took place inside the chapel and that the children in the church’s daycare were immediately evacuated.

ABC News Reports that the shooter was a former employee who resigned recently and the victim’s name has not yet been released.

Karen Webb, who had taken her mother to the church for Bible study, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she was told the victim was shot six times.
“I brought my mother up here to go to church — every Wednesday she attends Bible study. As soon as we get here I’m told someone has been shot,” Webb said. “He was one of the praise leaders.” Webb said she was told the shooter was a 20-year member of the church.

Church Services has been canceled for today… Lets keep the Church in our prayers and all of the involved families in our thoughts as well…
