Rapper Drake and R&B Singer Chris Brown decided to put their beef to the side and host  a funny skit for ESPN’s 2014 ESPY Awards.

Check out the details below.

Drake and Chris Brown are putting their feud aside for a good laugh.  During Wednesday’s ESPY Awards, Brown appeared in a skit in which Drake and basketball star Blake Griffin tried to one-up each other over the title to a co-starring film.  As “Drizzy” was about to go under the knife for an appendectomy, “Breezy” showed up ready to perform surgery on Drake.

In their final act of revenge, Blake and Chris hijacked the hosting gig from Drake, who was shown tied up backstage.  As temporary co-host, Chris poked fun at his own bad-boy reputation, sarcastically dubbing himself “America’s sweetheart.”

The night’s real host also wasn’t afraid to draw laughs from his personal life.  Playing off his apparent obsession with WNBA star Skylar Diggins, Drake stopped the show by reading a few lines of poetry dedicated to Diggins.  Skylar eventually stepped in to stop what she saw as his “craziness,” promising one kiss if he dropped his obsession.  While Drake had another type of kiss in mind, Skylar merely planted a peck on his forehead.  Drake also turned to his musical skills to make the night memorable.  He performed several parody songs, including a rendition of his hit “Worst Behavior” dedicated to shamed Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

Meantime, the night also paid tribute to the biggest stars in sports.  Kevin Durant was awarded the Best Male Athlete award.  Among the other honorees were Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, former Auburn football star Chris Davis, UFC star Ronda Rousey and Oklahoma City Thunder player Russell WestbrookMichael Sam, the first openly gay active NFL player, was honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.  ESPN anchor Stuart Scott was given the Jimmy V. Perseverance Award for his courageous battle with cancer.  The 2014 ESPY Awards were broadcast live on ESPN from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.
