It was just like old times when Eddie Murphy took a seat on the couch on the millennium’s version of the Arsenio Hall Show. Who knew it’s been 25 years since they famously starred in “Coming To America”? They talked about Eddie Murphy’s new music, his plans for new projects, his kids and so much more!
What did we learn about Eddie Murphy on Arsenio Hall?
1. He has played the guitar for twenty years. After youtube success of a song he wrote, he decided to film an additional video for the track titled, “Red Light” , featuring Snoop Lion.
2. It has been twenty-five years since the iconic movie, “Coming to America”. Hilariously, the duo recounted why they never filmed a sequel.
3. Eddie Murphy has Stevie Wonder on speed dial.
4. Eddie Murphy’s “Party All the Time’, a record he co-wrote with Rick James was James’ highest ranking single EVER, topping out at number two. (Who Would’ve thunk that one?)
Finally, we learned to root for Arsenio. Last night’s show was peppered with pieces of history. I look forward to Eddie and Arsenio making history again!
Have you tuned into the new Arsenio?
